Bad news first, Umuzi applications are officially closed for the year, as we close off the loops of upcoming cohorts. The good news is that THERE’S A CATCH! We are currently matching applicants with outstanding opportunities and will be sending email invitations to selected candidates over the course of November and December. Please keep an eye on your emails for these, should you already have completed a profile and passed the aptitude test. So what does this actually mean? If you are new to Umuzi, you’re invited to join our waiting list to be the first to hear about new opportunities you can apply for. If you've been in the Express Entry pools anxiously waiting to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA), you're probably wondering when it'll finally be your turn. With a target of 110,770 immigrants to be processed this year through the Express Entry system, we are all eager to see who will get a coveted ITA in 2024. We've recently received some enlightening information that should give you a better idea of what you can expect. Here are some of the key takeaways: - The French proficiency category applicants will receive the most ITAs this year, with 30% of ITAs going to applicants who qualify for the French proficiency category. - General/ All Program draws will account for 21.5% of ITA’s issued. - We can expect to see more STEM and Healthcare occupation draws in 2024. - If you are hoping to be selected under an Agriculture and Agri-Food occupations draw, you may want to look for other options, with only 0.5% of ITAs going to these applicants.
