If you're seeing this today, then that can only mean one thing... You've decided to show up today. It's easy to give up, especially when you're not seeing the desired results. But keep on. Rome, as they say, wasn't built in a day. ____________________ So, a little story... I've always been an idea guy for the longest time, which means I churn out ideas by the minute. But I lacked the execution mindset- I would suddenly become tired when I'm asked to execute the idea. I saw how this was hurting my professional journey. So, I knew I had to deal with it. It's safe to say, I'm gradually building execution to my subconscious. Matter of fact, when I get an idea I don't even feel all jumpy excited till I know how to execute. This is something I've always desired. And I put in the work daily to do something daily that helps me build that execution mindset. Over the weekend, I thought to develop my level of depth work so I read the book Deep Work by Cal Newport. ____________________ What's the lesson in this post? You are either putting in the work to get what you want. In this case, showing up daily to connect with potential clients, audience, great people here on LinkedIn. Show up! Do the little you can today! Consistency isn't being 100 everyday. That's the lesson. ____________________ Welcome into the new week. Remember also, it's not about activity but productivity. Do only what adds value to you in achieving your goal. My name is Kiitan Jones, all day I talk about marketing (positioning, consumer behavior, market research and strategy, content), business success. Follow me Kiitan Jones and turn on post notification for daily value at 10:00am EST (3pm WAT)

Don't build your mindset like an amateur. Instead, try this: When you think of expenses, you think of losses. When you think of investments, you think of gains. Working with a performance coach is about maximizing potential, not adding another cost. ↳ Imagine self-confidence ↳ Growing your network ↳ Closing more deals As the kids say - you're raking. All because you understand ROI. ➔ Success starts (and stops) with you. And you need more successful negotiations. Psychology is everything in negotiations. 272 Moneymental subscribers will be armed with the neuroscience of negotiations. Hitting inboxes at 10am today. The most important thing I do to save time and stay organized happens on the first day of every month. I reflect on the previous month's successes, failures, and learnings and I use them to make a plan to forge ahead. This isn't a revolutionary hack by any means, but it's an important habit of all successful managers and individual contributors I come across. My Outline: - Overall, did we hit our goals? - Which KPI's drove that outcome (positively and negatively)? - Which KPI's could use some attention (where are we falling behind, where did we lose focus)? - Forecasting to the month ahead, what is our biggest risk in reaching our goals? - Based on what I gathered from above, what will I START, STOP, and KEEP for the upcoming month? (I'm addicted to Start, Stop, Keep in every aspect of my life. Try it!) This little exercise takes me 10 minutes and helps me to stay focused on what's important. What does everyone else do to stay organized? I'd love to hear other hacks!

Here’s a quick idea about control and focus. Excusing a lack of execution by saying “My strategy is probably wrong” is an easy out from doing uncomfortable things. But it’s often not the truth. It’s just a way for your emotional mind to trick you into avoiding what feels uncomfortable even if it’s the effective strategic thing to do. Where is your mind trying to trick you into thinking you need a different strategy when in reality you would benefit from simply executing things that are very uncomfortable? We often view our personal traits as being permanent, rather than changeable. This shows up in the way we talk about ourselves: “I’m bad at math,” or, “I’m socially awkward.” But when we buy into the permanence of who we are, we leave no room for growth. In my next newsletter, we’ll talk about the benefits of a growth mindset.
