I’m an ambitious, impact-led, AI-driven, globally-motivated tech startup founder, it’s my last post of 2024, and here are some people I have loved learning from this year. 🌀 Reid Hoffman. One word. Contrarian. (The only person who I have ever heard use this word here in Scotland 🏴 is Danae Shell. No surprise she was also born in the US 🇺🇸) The most fascinating podcast episode dropped on The Diary Of A CEO this week, I’ve genuinely listened 4 times. I finally feel like I understand my positioning and purpose. Danae and Reid speak in a language I can understand and get my head around. Most of the time, it’s like people think I’m crazy. And now? I’m okay with that. Halleluyah! 🌀Beena Sharma and Debbie Wosskow, OBE. I first heard Beena on The Braw Tech Podcast and some parts I replayed multiples times, and I’ve been on a journey sourcing every podcast I can find Debbie on, since Alan Donald gave me the best end of year advice, and I heard Debbie say: “The number one single reason she has succeeded in her career is because she got really good at asking men for money.” But ultimately, the learning I gained from both of these women is: The good stuff happens. That’s a given. That’s easy. It’s the bad stuff. The bad stuff needs to be the focus. You need to use that to elevate you. Like rocket fuel. Don’t ignore it or suppress it. Use the bad stuff to get to the next level. Forces of nature. Called to dig deeper. 🌀 I have Cindy Gallop and Dan Bowyer to help me appreciate why wealth must get into the hands of women and why tech and communities must be built through the female lens. Legends. 🌀 My founder friends who I’ve met through Strathclyde Inspire, The Data Lab - Innovation Centre, Techscaler, Female Founders Rise + AccelerateHER . They kept me sane, made me laugh, helped me to keep moving. There are so many but a mega-phone shout out to: Nicole Christie ACCA, Richie Wan, Gemma S., Katie Hasselstrøm, Kayla-Megan Burns, Stuart Mitchell, Aleksandra Czech-Seklecka, Rosie Davie, Jo Tennant. 🌀 David Carboni, my CTO at kinoro. He is a GENerator who teaches me to fly higher. 🌀 Noella N. an intercontinental, multi-talented worldy leading our tech build. 🥳 to AI Builders. 🌀 Sumit Thakur, Paul Trickett, Eoghan Mackie, Fraser Macdonald, Amy Hall Gibson their brains and ears to help me steer. 🌀 Andrew Wolffe x Genoa Black the creator of kinoro ‘s brand who never for one moment underestimated me, with super founder vision/insight/knowledge elliciting powers. In 2023 I dreamed of working with Andrew, and the Glasgow Growth Framework made it come true. Alan Feighery and Lisa Primrose Gibson I’ll be forever grateful for those first ladder rungs. 🌀 And finally, my favourite person to LIVE and learn with, Ryan Leslie. I do not know how we do it, one roof x two start-ups, but we do. It’s so super tough at times but most of the time it’s the only way to make life fun. My infinite learner and entrepreneurial match. TY

13hIdeally, this is when a lot of business moves must be made (that's what my mentor told me, read the book "Your Next Five Moves"). Having known you, you won't rest. The thoughts of spring launching Kinoro will always be on your mind. Every other person you meet, you'll find a way to bridge them with your vision. Your family, friends, everyone you meet will inspire you in a way. Let's catch up once you are back from the holidays. Can't wait for what's next. Use this season to settle down, take a break and come back even stronger. Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year, Genna!
