Watch this 5-minute chat with our experts Luigi and Ryan from #HM24 to find out how we make “connecting anything, predicting everything” a reality – may it be by connecting a coffee machine and extracting its KPIs to predict failures before they occur, or your plants, machines, and components – regardless of which kind of industry you’re in: https://sie.ag/6jkPqP #DigitalEnterpriseServices #IndustrialConnectivity

One of the key challenges facing UK retailers in 2024 is the disconnect between desk-free employees and back-office management, often leading to large levels of disengagement in the workforce and significant impacts on productivity and business growth. At OneAdvanced, we believe in empowering these essential employees, through innovative technology, to improve both employee and customer outcomes. The Retail Bulletin recently interviewed Paul Ridings, our Global Director of Growth for People, to see how we are driving digital transformation for retailers. Paul shares his unique perspective on: 💡 How we help retailers modernise and optimise their processes. 💡 The role of our solutions in bridging the gap between desk-free workers and back-office operations. 💡 The importance of creating personalised customer experiences. Read the full interview here for more great insights: ➡ https://lnkd.in/edqSpz7n #DigitalTransformation #RetailTech #DeskfreeWorkers #OneAdvanced

In 2024 the UK still does not have a well defined Industrial Strategy! But a new report out from @PwC_UK - which surveyed over 1200 of the UK's senior business decision-makers and interviewed more than 60 business leaders - is set to address that. Find out what it says here and get in touch if you'd like to know more. #IndustrialStrategy

Over the coming weeks and months, it will be interesting to see how IT upskilling is factored into the government’s education investment plans, as announced in today’s Autumn Budget. The reality is that although the digital revolution has been ongoing for years, the IT skills gap is widening. With consequences for all industries – from engineering to law, financial services to healthcare – as well as future employees. The next generation needs to be digitally fluent to ensure their future success. Whether they pursue an IT career or not, these skills allow people to leverage the right tools, adapt to evolving technologies, and unlock their full potential. What’s more, digital literacy promotes productivity and safety. It safeguards individuals from online threats, such as AI-generated misinformation and cyber threats, and equips them to harness the power of AI responsibly – at work and in their personal lives. As such, it’s essential that a portion of the funding promised today is dedicated to providing students with the IT tools and knowledge to thrive. With this in place, we can build our future talent pipeline, push the UK forward in its digital evolution, and avoid Reeves’ concern that the UK will fall behind other countries in the technology race. #Budget #education #ITskills #digitalliteracy

Stephanie Cassee is spot on. This is exactly what our customers say, that they have found procurements to be far more successful when there is engagement with suppliers before starting the formal part of the procurement – that way they can better understand the sorts of features and innovations that are available on the market, and which of these can best help them. They can then specify these innovations when the formal part of the procurement is underway, resulting in a solution that better meets the needs of the authority. Councils looking to procure a new EMS, please have a quick look at this short article by my colleague.

Just off a really interesting webinar from the guys at Retention Seekers around Preventing Customer Churn for SaaS Organisations. With the cost of finding new customers getting higher and higher, it was great to hear about shared experiences on how to retain customers better from people on the frontline in Account Management and Customer Success positions. We are continuing to look at new ways to improve the renewal process here at Omniplex and seeing external insights helps us shape that process.

Unsurprisingly I agree with you Peter - Groups particularly need to take advantage of systems and technology that enable them to really capitalize on the associated benefits & efficiencies. It is worth noting, that new technology also brings fresh challenges. Typically we see centralised teams spending between 30-45% of their time pulling data from unconnected tech silos (booking systems, ePOS, CRM, Loyalty Apps etc.) leading to conflicting MI and unconnected or contradictory reporting - not to mention sub-optimal digital experience for customers. So whilst those with the ambition and finance will benefit from ai & tech investment, only those that can effectively mobilise the huge volume of data generated will see the true return on that investment.
