Last week, 🦄 Udi Baruch and I had the pleasure of driving and hosting an engaging on-site cybersecurity event at our SAP Labs Israel offices as part of the global Cybersecurity Month, bringing together our employees to enhance their cybersecurity knowledge, skills and expertise. Israel boasts a robust cybersecurity ecosystem, and to provide our team with the latest insights, we invited both innovative startups and established companies to share their insights. Our audience - security experts, champions, and enthusiasts — participated in expert-led sessions covering AI Security, Vulnerability Management, Authorizations, and CI/CD Security Risks. Wiz's Hillai Ben Sasson shared a fascinating deep dive into the results of a security research on weaknesses of AI Infrastructure Providers. Guy Franco from Raven.io explored Reachability in Vulnerability Management, and Oded Ben David from Permit.io provided an overview on Access Control alternatives and Authorization best practices. A closing session was given by Omer Gil from Palo Alto Networks, a co-author of OWASP Top 10 CI/CD Security Risks. His intriguing talk provided an overview of CI/CD security risks along with results of security research done by his team. To top it all off, we challenged our employees to a CTF (Capture the Flag) challenge by Wiz , tackling security challenges in Kubernetes environment and operational strategies of potential attackers. Udi and I tailored this event specifically to tackle Development and Operational security challenges, aiming at equipping our SAP Labs employees with practical knowledge to enhance their daily work in line with SAP’s Global Security target objectives. Along with Orna Kleinmann, SAP Labs Israel Managing Director, and the entire Labs Israel leadership team, Udi and I were thrilled to have collaborated with our local ecosystem security giants for this event. We look forward to leveraging these valuable experiences in future security initiatives!
