FuelsEurope’s Post

#LowCarbonNews: Spain, we have news for you! 👏 Our member bp has launched bp bioenergy HVO in Spain, targeting CO2 emission reductions for heavy-duty road transport. 🚛 This renewable diesel is available at four service stations located in Madrid, Valencia, and Navarre. Looking ahead, bp plans to explore extending the availability of HVO to more locations across Spain by 2025. 📈 bp bioenergy HVO is a low-carbon, renewable diesel that can be used as a direct substitute for traditional diesel in compatible vehicles. It offers fleet customers a sustainable option to reduce their environmental impact without compromising performance. Ivan Soler, bp’s Senior Director of Fleet Sales in Europe, highlights: “With bp bioenergy HVO, we are complementing our traditional commercial offering to remain the first choice for our fleet customers, who now have access to a fuel derived from renewable sources.” 🌍 This pilot project in Spain follows the successful introduction of bp bioenergy HVO in other European countries, including the UK, Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands. 🇪🇺 Learn more about it here: https://lnkd.in/eEF-Pju4

Good to see HVO availability grow.👍🏻 Also many passenger cars are HVO compatible; e.g. BMW and Mini already for several years.
