La Asociación de Productores de Energía Renovable (APER) ha planteado inquietudes sobre el futuro del sector renovable en Puerto Rico, advirtiendo que las demoras en la ejecución de proyectos fotovoltaicos (PV) y sistemas de almacenamiento de energía (BESS) podrían requerir ajustes en las metas de incorporación de renovables a corto plazo, establecidas en la Ley 17 y el Plan Integrado de Recursos. «La administración saliente ha apoyado el desarrollo de energías renovables, pero nos quedamos cortos de poder completar varios proyectos antes del 2024», manifiesta Julian Herencia, director ejecutivo de la APER.
