Next week I will be representing Vireo Ventures at the SolarPower Europe Summit 2024 in #Brussels, the flagship event of SolarPower Europe. This gathering will bring together over 450 senior industry leaders and decision makers from across the EU and beyond to focus on the strategic, policy and market developments that are critical to the future of solar power in Europe. Their system optimises power demand to match the availability of green power, creating a sustainable shift in energy consumption patterns. LIFEPOWR: Since 2015, LIFEPOWR has been at the forefront of solving energy challenges. Their advanced control algorithms for distributed energy storage and charging points deliver significant benefits to homes, businesses and society by stabilising electricity grids. Their FlexiO product intelligently controls the flow of energy into buildings, reducing costs for consumers and facilitating a carbon neutral electricity system. 🥁 GreenTech Hub unveils its first innovation challenge to support advancing the State's green technologies! The Hub's first innovation challenge will focus on energy storage. 🍃🔋 GreenTech Hub will work closely with industry, government and academia to explore innovative solutions to improve reliability and efficiency in energy storage for metropolitan and rural area applications. Operated by Curtin University, the Hub is funded at $4 million over 4 years through the $40 million Lower Carbon Grants Program and GreenTech Hub Fund, a collaboration between the State and Chevron for the Gorgon Joint Venture. GreenTech Hub's aim is to help advance WA's expertise and infrastructure in green technology and services. The Hub launched at West Tech Coast as part of West Tech Fest hosting global and local leaders to discuss how corporates, startups and individuals can leverage technology for sustainable development goals. Echion Technologies secures £10M to scale XNO® fast-charging batteries, revolutionizing heavy-duty transport electrification UK-based Echion Technologies, a pioneer in niobium-based fast-charging battery materials, has secured £10 million in funding. The round was led by Barclays Sustainable Impact Capital,alongside Sustainable Ventures and existing investor BGF which recently supported startups such as Twenty7tec and ForeFront RF. This funding follows a $35 million investment earlier this year and is set to accelerate the production of commercial cells using Echion’s proprietary XNO® anode material. The investment will also fuel the company's expansion into key markets, connecting its network of cell manufacturers with industrial original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The goal is to bring XNO®-powered batteries to real-world applications at scale. 🌱💰 Australian electrolyser startup receives major global backing in the largest clean tech fundraiser in the country's history. 🔗 #Hydrogen #Innovation #GreenEnergy #CleanTech #Investment. 🌍 Startup Hysata has secured significant backing from big global names in energy and fund management during an investment round that exceeded expectations. This financial backing aims to further the development of its promising low-cost electrolyser technology. 💼 Record funding to drive innovation: The company announced that its Series B funding round, led by Hong Kong-based bp oil and Templewater, was not only oversubscribed, but also raised a total of A$172 million, about €116 million, making it the largest Series B fundraising in Australian cleantech history. Advances in electrolyser technology: Hysata, which opened its new headquarters and ‘gigafactory’ in Wollongong last August, claims to have developed the world's most efficient electrolyser technology.
