🌬️ Axpo gives investment green light for Vörå wind farm Axpo's wind team in Finland moves forward with the construction of the Lålax wind farm in Finland’s Vörå municipality. This marks a significant step in expanding wind energy in Finland and underscores Axpo Group commitment to sustainable energy solutions in the region. 🌍 Sustainable energy production Axpo plans to commission four wind turbines, each boasting 6.2 MW of output and a hub height of 134 meters. The wind farm is expected to be fully operational by autumn 2025, generating approximately 70 GWh annually, equivalent to powering 17,500 households with renewable electricity. 🏢 Local impact and management Located just 25 kilometers from Axpo's Vaasa office, the project will be managed closely to ensure efficient development and construction overview. Joakim Ingves, Axpo’s Head of Wind Activities in Finland, highlighted the strategic advantages of the location, emphasizing job creation and local economic benefits.
