These new 2030 targets will continue to drive exponential growth in the Spanish renewable industry and ensure its on-track for a greener future! 🥳 💡 Planned Installations 💡 ☀️ 76 GW of #Solar (incl. 19 GW for Self-Consumption) 🍃 62 GW of #Wind (incl. 1-3 GW of #OffshoreWind) 🔋 22.5 GW of Storage 💧 12 GW of Electrolysers for Renewable #Hydrogen Additionally, the Royal Decree regulating electricity production from marine renewable sources has been approved! The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) released a report highlighting record growth in renewable energy capacity additions in 2023. While this is a positive development, the report also sounds a cautionary note. Most of this growth is concentrated in Asia, with developing countries being left behind in the clean energy transition. This uneven distribution of benefits requires equitable policy interventions to ensure everyone benefits from the green energy transition. ⚡️Enhancing Knowledge Exchange on Pathways to Net-Zero  In an International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) LTES Network session, GET.transform Long Term Energy Planning and Renewable Grid Integration Technical Advisors, Alessia De Vita and Gildas Siggini presented on sector coupling and modelling considerations. The session ´Pathways to Net-Zero: Interaction between Sectors´enabled an exchange between the 29 member countries and 14 technical partners on the topic of net-zero and the importance for long-term planning to acknowledge the increasing interrelation between sectors was emphasised. #IRENA #netzero

🔴 Plan Internacional de Navarra have released a series of informative videos on the #opportunities to be found in the region.     The #renewableenergy sector is a key part of the industrial sector, which comprises over 300 multinationals and makes up almost 30% of regional GDP.
