🌍 Celebrating National Sustainability Day! 🌱 🤝 Today, we recognize the importance of sustainability and the collective responsibility we all share in protecting our planet for future generations. At Seedsight, sustainability isn't just a goal – it's the driving force behind everything we do. 🔬 Through the power of photonics and AI, we are transforming the agro-commodity processing industry, making it more efficient, resource-conscious, and sustainable. Our mission is to drive innovation that enhances food security while minimizing environmental impact. 🌾🌽 ♻ By focusing on wheat and maize processing, we're enabling the cereal value chain to make more informed decisions, reduce waste, and increase efficiency, all while ensuring that the food systems of tomorrow are aligned with global sustainability goals. 🌱 ✅ On this National Sustainability Day, we reaffirm our commitment to creating a more sustainable future for all.

This Sustainability Day, we'd like to highlight the pivotal role bakeries play in promoting sustainability through effective food loss management. 🌿 Benefits of Composting: Reduces Greenhouse Gases: Diverting organic waste from landfills lowers methane emissions. Supports Local Agriculture: Compost improves soil health and boosts crop yields. Cost Savings: Lower waste disposal costs and potential revenue from selling compost. 🌍 Making a Difference: By preventing excess from ending up in landfills, bakery owners contribute to a more sustainable food system and a healthier planet. Let’s continue to innovate and lead in sustainability!

🌱 Embracing #sustainability isn't just about “liking” in agreement; it's about taking tangible steps towards a greener future. I'll be the first to admit, I've been all talk and no action. 😛 But this year, I decided to make a change - starting with dusting off my lunch box. It wasnt easy to break away from the convenience of styrofoam box. However, with constant reminders and support from my colleagues, I made it! I've also shifted my focus to supporting local vegetables, especially from our community gardens. Not only do they taste fresher and crunchier, but they also last longer, despite being slightly pricier than imports. Just last week, our CSR committee organised a sustainability workshop, where I picked up some pea sprouts and eco enzymes. i am looking forward to harvesting my first batch of dou-miao 🌱 and using more chemical-free detergent! In summary, embracing sustainability requires effort and sometimes comes with higher cost. 💸 But if we dont foot the bill today, the cost might become even more hefty in future. Let's invest in a greener today, to ensure a brighter tomorrow for generations to come. Happy Earth Day! 🌍

As dairy producers, sustainability and milk market access are top priorities. “Your Farm – Your Footprint brings clarity to the sustainability conversation. It helps dairy farmers get their baseline environmental farm footprint numbers and an understanding of how various practices impact those numbers. Ultimately, knowing your baseline number is empowering. It puts us as farmers in a position to decide what will work best for our individual farm operations. This initiative helps farmers lead the industry from an informed position.” - JJ Pagel, Pagel's Ponderosa Farm, 2023 program pilot participant Visit https://lnkd.in/gwXpkU6P to learn how your dairy can be a part of this new initiative and help shape the industry's sustainability discussion.

💚 What an enlightening afternoon it was at Peach 20/20’s Sustainability Summit! Delving into the complexities of our global food systems. It was especially eye-opening to hear Henry Dimbleby (of Ravenous, Leon and National Food Strategy fame), talking about why we’re facing such complex challenges in terms of our global food systems. Despite the daunting scale of the challenges, exacerbated by the cost of living crisis and narrow profit margins, the imperative of addressing climate change is undeniable and urgent. Amidst these challenges, there were inspiring insights shared by industry leaders like Mark Stretton and Victoria Page from Fleet Street, highlighting the growing significance of green credentials for both consumers and employees. Additionally, Amy de Marsac from Mitchells & Butlers PLC underscored the crucial role of sustainability in attracting investors. We learned the exciting news that Pizza Pilgrims officially secured BCORP certification, congratulations to Thom, James and the whole team on achieving this important status! At Zonal, we are privileged to support initiatives like Planet Peach, stimulate discussion and encourage action towards a sustainable future. We're committed to playing our part in advancing these critical conversations and initiatives. #ZonalUK #WeAreHospitality #Peach2020 #PlanetPeach #HospitalityConference #Networking #HospitalityTech #Sustainability Peter Martin, Mark Stretton, Fleet Street, Stephen Nolan, Nutritics, Mark Chapman, Zero Carbon Forum, Victoria Page.
