Chapter 4... FINALLY coming together! I still don't think I coded right but I see the themes so maybe I did? 🤣🤣🤣 I'm still loving the pseudonyms I gave everyone. They're nods to my community (Crenshaw Blvd, Leimert Park, Slauson Ave) and the people who I look up to, like Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell, Marqueece Harris-Dawson, Yvonne Braithwaite Burke, Mark Ridley Thomas, and Nipsey Hussle! I'm researching the psychological safety of Black local health department employees in the United States. This research has shown me a lot and confirmed a lot!! The Safe Men Violence Prevention Program is a transformative year-long journey designed to engage and empower you. Here’s what to expect: - Monthly Meetings: Connect with fellow participants and listen to inspiring guest speakers during the academic calendar year. - Personal Project: Develop a project that focuses on awareness building, prevention, or direct survivor services. - Active Discussions: Dive deep into topics like power-based violence, trauma and adverse childhood experiences, navigating the legal system, healthy masculinity, inclusion/privilege, and a man's role in ending power-based violence.
