Today's thoughts on smart home improvements with Home Assistant. DID YOU KNOW that a containerized version of Home Assistant (in docker/portainer) will not allow for modifications via addons. There is no supervisor user in the docker version, and therefore just forbids it. I suppose I don't get to just be lazy and let portainer/docker do everything for me. My workaround? Install the Home Assistant OS.... AAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND Docker with a portainer agent. Its just an rpi4, but ill be damned if its just going to do one thing for me. waste of resources.
