EPFL EssentialTech Centre’s Post

Do you think it’s possible to build trust online? Our #PeaceTech #Hackathon Challenge #4 is for you! Challenge 4: From swisspeace - How can digital tools commonly used for mediation and deliberation be redesigned to be more inclusive and build trust? Short description: Mediation processes include several phases and involve various stakeholders, from actors in official processes to community level. Mediators increasingly turn to digital tools to facilitate parts of these processes and reach more constituencies because they can help bring more voices to the table. The challenge for hackers is to address some of the gaps that exist in commonly used video communication and digital deliberation tools to foster environments of trust: in the process, in each other and, hopefully, in the outcome. Join us in Lausanne at EPFL on 9-10 March with your ideas to address this #4 challenge!
