After 6 years my chapter with Michelin is coming to a close. To my colleagues, I’m so grateful for our time together, the relationships built, the lessons learned, and the memories made. I arrived at Michelin as an entrepreneur, with little corporate or international experience, but I will start my next chapter having gained that experience and so much more. I’ve had the privilege to learn from each of you, identifying areas where I have strengths, and more importantly where I have opportunities to improve. Thank you all for helping me grow through your feedback. After the opportunity to serve in our core tire business – across passenger car, light truck, and commercial – for the last four years I dove headfirst into transportation technology. An industry that I didn’t know existed before we started to build what would become MICHELIN Mobility Intelligence – what an incredible and passion filled industry. Each day I’ve had the pleasure to be humbled as I learn from our teams, our partners and our customers. Nothing excites me more than realizing there is so much left still to learn, so much to still innovate and improve, so much value still to be created. I want to add a special note to our North American MMI teams — working alongside you all the last few years has been the greatest pleasure, and honor, so far in my career. Our mission, to leverage technology to enable better, safer, and smarter mobility is one that I truly believe in. Your resilience, engagement, customer centricity and strong desire to operate with excellence in order to create value for our ecosystem is something that I’m so proud to have shared with you all. Thank you for all that you’ve done. As I transition to my next exciting chapter, I remain convinced that ‘people do business with people’, and that focusing on people – whether it’s your colleagues, your customers, your partners, or your stakeholders – makes all the difference. When we take care of the people, keeping them in mind in every decision we make, making sure they feel seen, feel listened to, and feel valued, then the business takes care of itself. I value greatly the relationships that I’ve developed during my time at Michelin, and the value that we’ve created together. Thank you all for the memories and the wonderful time spent together! Erik, we've only spoken a few times over the years, but I've always taken away something great from those meetings. I'm excited to see where you go next. And I hope you crush it just as much!
