💰 The "Great Wealth Transfer" is here! Over the next 40 years, $41 trillion will shift to Gen X and millennials, with women inheriting 70% of this wealth. This moment isn’t just about money—it’s about power to drive progress on gender equality. 🌍 ✨ At the Equality Fund, we’re seizing this opportunity with a dual strategy: ✅ Bold, flexible grants—$100M already moved to 1,000+ feminist organizations across 100 countries. ✅ A gender-lens investment portfolio—$29M generated (so far!) to sustain and grow our grant-making impact. By combining philanthropy with values-driven investment, we’re proving that how we use resources matters. Together, these approaches multiply impact, empower feminist movements, and bring us closer to a just, equitable future. 💪 Interested in learning more? ⭐️International Women’s Day⭐️ The 8th March is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. IWD is one of the most important days of the year to: * celebrate women’s achievements * educate and awareness raise for women’s equality * call for positive change advancing women * lobby for accelerated gender parity * fundraise for female-focused charities. The campaign aims to encourage important conversations on Why equal opportunities aren’t enough and Why equal isn’t always fair. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action. We can all challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias, and seek out inclusion. Collective activism is what drives change. From grassroots action to wide-scale momentum, we can all embrace equity. (IWD, 2024) #iwd2024 #EmbraceEquity #beverleyorthodonticcentre #mydentistuk

International Women's Day is about investing in and including women. When we invest in women, we create a better world. A woman multiplies the impact of an investment made in her by extending benefits to the world around her, creating a better life for her family and building stronger communities. It is reassuring to see that more and more women are financially empowered, independent and included, but there is still work to be done to close the gaps that exist today. That's why I'm proud that with the help of the RBC Foundation, our Leaside branch supported 'Women In Need of Klinik (WINK)' with a donations & Support. Help forge an inclusive world by investing in women and accelerating the progress. After all, gender equality is one of the most effective ways to build healthier, more prosperous, and more inclusive communities. #IWD2024 #InternationalWomensDay

We came across an insightful article by Sandra Osborne Kartt at ImpactAssets Capital Partners that highlights the compelling case for gender equality in impact investing. 🌍 The article points out the significant economic opportunities being missed due to the undervaluation and underinvestment in women, particularly in the care economy, which could add up to $290 billion annually to the US economy. The piece emphasizes that while impact investing alone can’t solve gender inequality, it plays a crucial role in advancing economic inclusion, improving lives, and increasing representation and voice for women and girls. By targeting investments in areas like healthcare, education, and small business lending, impact investors can help bridge the financial divide and empower women globally. As we continue our mission at RevFund, we’re reminded of the importance of moving beyond gender-neutral strategies to gender-smart approaches that truly drive progress towards equality. We’re committed to making a difference and invite those who share our vision to join us. Today, we celebrate International Women's Day by advocating for investment in women. For #IWD2024, let’s focus on: 🔹Ending Poverty: The aftermath of COVID-19 and global crises have pushed 75 million more into severe poverty, with women and girls at the forefront. 🔹Gender-Responsive Financing: Rising conflicts and costs are forcing 75% of countries to cut public spending by 2025, adversely affecting women. 🔹Green Economy & Caring Society: Shift towards economic models that prioritize environmental sustainability and women’s empowerment. 🔹Support Feminist Change-makers: With only 0.13% of development assistance, feminist organizations need more support to fight poverty and inequality. Together, we can forge a path to gender equality. Time to #InvestInWomen

A provactive talk last hosted by the The Walrus on the Shifting Power in Philanthropy. A few takeaways: 1) Women’s assets are projected to nearly double to $4 trillion by 2028. 2) Only 2% of philanthropy focuses on gender equality, and just 4% of VC funding goes to women-founded companies. [Still find this to be a sobering stat in 2024] 3) Investing in women leads to benefits for families and communities, as they give differently, often prioritizing crisis response and justice. It will be interesting to be on the forefront of a changing giving landscape in Canada.

Operation Grow is a social enterprise that is innovative, intersectional, accessible, and evidence-based, addressing issues such as social isolation, food insecurity and poverty, identified by women in our community who have experienced violence. Help forge an inclusive world by investing in women and accelerating the progress.
