Don't use the default strategies of Amazon Ads You are losing a ton of money doing that When you launch a new campaign on Amazon, you decide many things: keywords, targeting, advertising type, bids, bids by placement, and bidding strategy. I want to talk especially about bidding strategy. Bidding strategy has different types of strategies, Fixed bids, Dynamic Bids - Down Only, and Dynamic Bids - Up and Down. By default, you have the last set. Is this bad? YES, when you start you want to have data and control ad spending. If you set the default strategy (Dynamic Bids - Up and Down), you won't be able to control spending. What you need to do is change your bidding strategy. You can choose between Down Only or Fixed Bids. It's up to you, by doing this, your campaigns will perform better. Is it Dynamic Bids - Up and Down BAD? NO, it's just the worst when you want to launch a campaign, but if you know your keywords and want to take the maximum of each keyword, I can say it is the best. Which bidding strategy do you use while launching a new campaign?

Fixed bidding strategy is best for New Launch. But I have also generated good results with Up & Down.

I think you have missed some points. Two approaches: 1. NEW campaigns 2. RUNNING campaigns My suggestion,✍️ But for new campaigns I will suggest start from down only due to lack of data. Similarly for OLD or RUNNING campaigns I will suggest you 1. If your old campaigns running with down only with good result so don't do any changes on it. If you want to try so do with min or low bids some times Amazon set the bid with overspending without knowing you. 2. If your RUNNING campaigns means old campaigns are not getting any result so try on FIXED BID 😕 sometimes due to low bids or up and down bidding cost in the market your campaigns not doing well perform according to the required. But Always study the old data you have and getting idea from that which will help you in forecasting for next strategy making. Enrique Becerra

Thanks for the insight! It's true, that default Amazon Ads strategies might not always be the best choice. Adjusting your bidding strategy, especially when launching a new campaign, can make a big difference in controlling spending and improving performance. I typically opt for Down Only or Fixed Bids to ensure better control and optimization. Enrique Becerra

Insightful breakdown Enrique Becerra! Starting with more controlled bidding strategies like Fixed Bids or Dynamic Bids - Down Only is indeed important for gathering initial data and managing ad spend efficiently. As campaigns mature, transitioning to Dynamic Bids - Up and Down can optimize the performance by using well-understood keywords for maximum impact.
