It's World Mental Health Day today - a day to raise awareness of mental health issues and actively encourage support for mental health everywhere. At Sigma we take a proactive approach to supporting our people with their mental health and wellbeing. We are encouraging them to review and check out the Wellbeing activities which are part of our Employee Assistance Programme. We're also organising a half hour lunchtime walk today so that employees can take a break and get some fresh air, which we know is good practice for our staff, and is something that we do regularly. We believe that staff should take the time to chat to other team members and find out something new about them when they have a break. These interactions can be bonding and bring the team together. We also have several Mental Health First Aiders around the business who our team is encouraged to speak to if they feel they need to, and we have a reflection room for time out if a busy day feels overwhelming.
