This involves a multifaceted stakeholder approach to expand existing port infrastructure including berths, storage and access, while minimizing the environmental impact from both a construction and operational perspective. The South Texas DAC Hub, led by 1PointFive, has been awarded $50 million from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) to kickstart Phase 2 activities. This funding is part of a total federal cost share of up to $500 million, highlighting the massive commitment to scaling direct air capture (DAC) technology. We can't ignore the #industrial sector. Heavy industry accounts for nearly 1/3 of all U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, and the sector's emissions are some of the hardest to abate. This is why I am excited to see the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) put more than $6 billion towards #decarbonization of the industrial sector.

Witnessing the remarkable growth of #cleantechnology in #China is inspiring. 🌱 Back in 2000, Germany passed the Renewable Energy Act, aiming for a #netzero future. Today, China leads the way in #renewableenergy, showing impressive advancements in #solar, #wind, and #biogas. This progress is essential as we face global #climate challenges. 🌍 To combat these issues, we must: ✅ Stop all #emissions in the energy sector. ✅ Create a #circulareconomy without #waste. ✅ Promote #greengrowth to absorb atmospheric CO2.
