Exploring the Impact of NEET and NET Examination Malpractices I recently had the opportunity to join a thought-provoking video interview session at TheWire.in hosted by the insightful @Meenakshi Tewari. During the session, we delved into the critical issue of malpractices in NEET and NET examinations and their disproportionate impact on marginalized communities. The discussion highlighted how these examination scams undermine the meritocratic foundations of our education system, exacerbating inequalities. While the affluent often find ways to bypass the system, it’s the marginalized and poorer sections that face the harshest consequences, further entrenching social disparities. This is just the beginning and we already are creating impact. When we decided to create good explainer videos on issues in the education domain that bother all of us, the objective was to add objectivity to the rants in the social media and the mostly uninformed reporting in mainstream media. We tried to pick up issues that need more understanding. We used data, charts and in a video format. 1. In our first video, We first explained how the big issue in NEET 2024 was the score vs rank inflation and why it points to a larger malaise specifically in NEET 2024. 2. In our second video, we exposed how exam centers are compromised and cited the Godhra Center example and how so many outstation candidates preferring the Jalaram School in Godhra is red flag that needs scrutiny. It now emerges that the principal took 10 Lacs from each candidate to allow them to cheat. 3. Lately, We explained on how NEET is structurally flawed with 48% seats being reserved for the rich. The Leader of the opposition seems to have used this info to drive home a point. Watch!!

NEET Is not NEAT

#studentslifematter Amidst the wave of election results, something peculiar happened- -NTA released the NEET 2024 results 10 days earlier, especially on the Lok Sabha result day. -There were 67 toppers ranked 720/720 which is not impossible but suspicious. -Students have even got 718 and 719 marks which is not possible according to the NEET marking scheme. -There were even students who got AIR 1 from the same center which is also something to look upon the matter. A student drops out for one year to prepare for the exam. There were endless efforts given by students, parents, and tutors just to crack the exam, and when the result came boom this thing happened!! Students are using hashtags on Twitter like #noreneet and in everyday news articles there is 2-3 news on students doing suicide. This is an unfair thing from NTA site for not having complete transperancy in marking scheme and result and their should not be any kind of re-exam thing. Parents and tutors must stay by the side of students at this time and the least we can do is to use hashtags and raise our voice against this through any medium. #studentslifematters #NEET2024 #NTA
