The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of excitement and emotion as we transformed the Public Viewing Fan Zones in Berlin, Stuttgart, and Cologne into beacons of sustainability. The impact has been phenomenal, with noticeably less waste than ever before. But this achievement wasn't just by chance; it was made possible by the collective efforts of many.
Every cheer, every moment of joy, and every shared emotion were experienced by 1.8 million Vytal cups and trays, filled with delicious food from over 60 food trucks.
Millions of fans enjoyed unforgettable moments without single-use packaging (over 2.5 million in the biggest fan zone in Berlin), generating only a fifteenth of the waste that usually comes from classic large events.
This remarkable achievement wouldn't have been possible without our incredible partner’s unwavering support and collaboration. Each organization, with its unique contributions and areas of expertise, shares a common goal: increasing sustainability. 🫶

1. People
↳ Great passion, expertise and drive from Packaging people to drive the Innovation and Sustainability agenda. No surprise!
2. PPWR
↳ Is clearly transforming the industry. However, compliance will be the bare minimum. To differentiate there is need to do even more. A holistic Packaging Innovation and Sustainability Strategy is more than that.
3. Power of We
↳The need to collaborate across the value chain came so clearly across the board. This can be done only together!

The future is now...
"We are after technology". This is the 4 words that I have been hearing since 3 years ago. Robotic solutions are rather a slow adoption in Australia despite being severely shortage in labour, especially since the pandemic.
Hotels specifically being one of the toughest industry to change, because of the nature of the business being customer oriented, requires lots of customer facing staff, be it checking in and out guest, room service, etc.
Adelaide Marriott Hotel being another successful adopter for cleaning robot after Shangri-La Group in Australia, has shown the industry slowly accepting the technology. It is true that robotic solution will replace labour, however that is not the case right now as every cleaning team in Australia, is severely shortage of labour. It is more about the 'how to' at least maintain a good quality of cleanliness in the hotel to ensure a safe environment for the guest with the minimal resources available.
I am here to empower businesses to achieve what has never been able to, or at least lowering down the ceiling for success. And of course this can't be done without the team. Thanks to ERA Robotics being the robotic platform in Australia, Pudu Robotics being the global leader of service robots to provide one of the greatest robotics, LUXXE Outsourced Hotel Services, Craig Coughlin MAICD, Brendon Granger to drive the robotic solution in hotel industry.

From emerging brands to established names, it was fascinating to see how everyone is adapting to the changing landscape and shifting consumer preferences.
One highlight for me was the focus on sustainability. Many brands showcased their innovative approaches to reducing environmental impact, and it’s encouraging to see a collective commitment to creating a more sustainable future for travel retail.
With increasing consumer demand for sustainability and convenience, innovative packaging solutions are more important than ever, and the innovative trends were incredible at Luxepack in Monaco! We had the pleasure of attending several insightful panels and discussions that explored emerging trends in packaging design, consumer behavior, and technology. The emphasis on personalization and storytelling through packaging truly resonated with me—it’s clear that packaging is not just about protection; it’s about creating a memorable brand experience.
