Here’s some great thinking inside and outside the box. We’re currently switching to paper-based bags in our LEGO® sets as part of our commitment to reduce single-use plastic from our packaging. This transition has been a challenging yet important part of our sustainability journey. Here’s an update on the project and our progress so far: 🔬 180 different paper varieties tested 🏭 All LEGO factories globally have started production 🚚 Paper-based bags are being packed into more and more sets in our factories in Europe and Asia with Americas ready to start rolling out 💪 New bags are sturdy, foldable and won’t tear in transit ♻ Verified as recyclable in the European Union, the United States and Canada Discover more about our sustainable packaging here: https://lnkd.in/gbeKJbjn

This week, I had the privilege of being the guest on My Duvet Flip with the incredible Jack Parsons, the UK’s Chief Youth Officer. We talked career journeys, life lessons and what it's like to lead the LEGO® Group’s UK and Ireland team, where we bring joy (and a bit of a challenge) to millions, one brick at a time. Here are a few takeaways I hope will inspire you as much as they’ve guided me: First Jobs Matter Every role I have held – from stocking shelves in a DIY store to leading the UK and Ireland team at the LEGO Group – has taught me something invaluable. Your first job might not be perfect, but it will teach you resilience, work ethic, and adaptability—cornerstones for any career. Be Direct, and Don’t Apologise One of the best lessons I learned from a mentor early on: clear and direct feedback helps everyone grow. It's not always easy, but honesty builds trust and progress. Curiosity is Your Compass I’ve always followed my curiosity—if you’re unsure of your path, that’s OK. Explore, experiment, and stay open to where life takes you. Resilience Starts Outside Work Whether it’s family, hobbies, or building with LEGO Bricks (my personal go-to), find “energy pots” that help you stay balanced. These anchors make navigating challenges much easier. Find Your People Surround yourself with those who make you feel safe to be authentic. Reach out for mentorship, even if it feels bold—those connections can change the course of your career. The Power of Play Play isn’t just for kids. Whether it’s LEGO Bricks, cooking, or something else, find what brings you joy and focus. It’s a powerful tool to reset and recharge. To anyone starting out, switching gears, or just looking for inspiration—lean into curiosity, build resilience, and never be afraid to ask for that coffee chat. Thank you, Jack, for the chance to share my journey and to help others find their ‘duvet flip’! UPDATE: here you will find the full video: https://lnkd.in/ewFs6Nqh #MyDuvetFlip #BeCurious
