If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it… Really? I have heard it from a lot of Supply Chain teams, when we discuss fundamental improvements or transformation of their supply chains. They prefer to stay with status quo until it shows up as a major problem. How helpful is this mindset? Their concern is genuine that we shouldn’t keep tinkering with supply chain design, unless… It’s important to articulate it instead of leaving it unsaid. We should take up such a fundamental improvement only if the ‘direction of solution’ has a large upside and only a much smaller downside. If we didn’t fix what wasn’t broken, we would still be riding on horsebacks instead of automobiles and airplanes! #supplychain #design #improvement #transformation #mindset #toc #tocplus #poogi #primenuggets

#StrategyPyramid #TPS #Organizationalexcellence #Business #Strategy The Strategy Pyramid, inspired by the Toyota Production System (TPS), was introduced by Wendy McGuiness in 2011. It outlines the 9 essential pillars for successful strategy development and execution, which are classified into 3 main categories: purpose, strategy, and execution. These 9 pillars encompass Mission, Values, Vision, Strategic Intent, Drivers, Enablers, Targets & Initiatives, Performance Indicators, and Strategy Map. When these pillars are systematically and methodically embraced, the organization gains a #strategicadvantage.

Taking shortcuts is not the same as cutting corners. While shortcuts are accelerated ways of doing something, cutting corners is doing something less thoroughly than you should. It's important to recognize the difference between the two and strive for efficiency without sacrificing quality. Remember, taking shortcuts can be a time saver, but cutting corners can result in mistakes and ultimately cost you more time in the long run. #efficiency #qualityoverquantity #productivity #supplychain #operations

A vision, common goals and of course, actions. We don't need management, we need a common vision! They don't need to be managed at all if the vision we're working towards is clear to everyone involved. To sum up, knowing your "what" and your "why" will set you on the road to success more than anything else you can do. Eduardo BANZATO Florian Palatini Dr.-Ing. "Lean" is probably the most influential operations improvement philosophy and toolbox of all time. It may have hit its peak fashionability a couple of decades ago but this one isn't going away. After many years of being thrown about, used, misused, rebranded, rehashed, it can be easy to lose track of what "Lean" really is / really stands for. So, cut the chaff, check out my video on "The 25 Characteristics Lean" and what is really means to be "Lean" in your business operations. . . . #businessoperations #LeanManagement #BusinessEfficiency #OperationalExcellence #LeanThinking #ProcessImprovement
