It’s that time of year when everyone feels stretched thin. I hear it all the time: “There’s just so much to do. I don’t even know where to start.” 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴—𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼-𝗱𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁? 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿? Sharing today's episode from Mel Robbins in which Mel and Dr. Scott Lyons talk about the addiction to busyness and stress—a pattern I see play out with clients again and again. Takeaways that stood out to me: ~ Why busyness doesn’t make you more productive (but often does leave you disconnected) ~ How constantly doing might actually be about running away from something (such as feeling? or being?) ~ There are steps we can take to break the cycle and take back our time and energy.

Arrgghh 🫣 Excited to share an intro to my first-ever mini video series! This idea came to me during one of my recent runs (where I always do my best thinking). I've wrestled with the idea of putting my thoughts out there for a while, but decided to give it a go. The series is a way to get ideas out of my head and into the world. If it resonates with people, great! If you’ve got topics you’d like me to cover, drop them in the comments. The first three episodes will focus on: Growing Clients’ Businesses Client Service Excellence Mental Wellbeing and Productivity Stay tuned—let’s see where this goes. A huge thank you to Stella Nettey for inspiring me and helping to make my ramblings look good. Also Marcos Angelides for inspiring and encouraging.

EMOTIONAL RESILIENCE 🗣️🎙️‼️ This week’s episode is about emotional resilience. Essentially, that means it’s about fighting through the pain of dealing with hard sh*t. Embrace it. Not only do I embrace my pain, I work through it with a SMILE. 🔴 You can’t run from it. You can’t hide from it. 🔴 Someone you love will let you down. 🔴 You wont get that job you wanted. 🔴 You will fail at a goal you worked hard to achieve. 🔴 You will lose a loved one. The list of possibilities you can expect to feel is endless. Turn your pain into aggression. I think about my life’s most significant pain, and those who caused it every single day. I FORGIVE my pain, and use it as fuel to aggressively pursue my goals and what I want in this life. I take it head on without the slightest hesitation, and I absolutely LOVE it‼️ My advice is that you do the same. With time, you’ll be built for it. SMILE, THEN PUT YOUR PAIN TO WORK 🙂 BE.THE.STANDARD‼️ FOLLOW @bethestandardpodcast @denny_paul12 @mikeburnes1 @clarusmultimedia

Did you miss last week's episode?.... 😳 Is it possible we are getting less done at work during the day, but feeling more mentally drained than ever before?😩 Speaking of drained, how’s your battery life on your cell phone?... charging it more often than you used to?🪫🤦♂️ What if it wasn’t actually your job mentally draining you… could your smartphone be the real culprit behind your mental fatigue? 🔌📱 With the help of this clip from top speaker, Brandon Bouchard, we explore these provocative questions, challenging the common assumption that our jobs are the primary source of burnout. We dissect the hidden impact of spending hours on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, revealing how they foster a cycle of judgment and comparison that leaves us mentally exhausted and unfocused. Rather than blaming your workload, we encourage you to take a closer look at your digital habits and consider the profound effects they may have on your mental well-being and societal interactions. By being more mindful of our digital consumption and ensuring that it is uplifting and growth-oriented, we learn how to reduce burnout and foster a vibrant, fulfilled life. Join us on this episode as we reflect on these insights and consider making mindful changes that enhance both personal and professional well-being.💪
