🧐 ROOKIE 🧐 Never stop being a rookie! I recently celebrated my fourth round anniversary of working at #KombinatKonopny.  There's a saying that in the hemp industry, every year worked is like seven in the "outside world," and it's absolutely true. 😉😁 Starting work, my responsibilities were unclear, to say the least. Not that this has particularly changed over the past few years, but my point is that I've had the opportunity to work in many positions, dealing with a myriad of different topics and threads, bringing my multitasking to a master level. 😎 As a result, my competence is not limited to just one department I supervise. I have a pretty good knowledge of most of the company's processes, and to the questions "but why do you want to know this, after all it's not your department?!" I answer - because I want to. 😊 I want to, because I like to know a lot. I want because I can and because, in my opinion, if one assumes that already knows everything, it is best not to get up to work at all. There is nothing worse than to rest, stop and conclude that I don't need to know anything more, because I already know everything. Never stop being a rookie. Ask, research, surround yourself with interesting people with bold ideas and out-of-the-box way of thinking. And always take notes! 💡🖊

Why is there a bagel on your LinkedIn feed? Let me explain. Expanding on yesterday's topic of trust in leadership, Bagels represent trust in a meaningful way with my SoCal Removery team, and are actually our longest running inside joke. I started with Removery as a Lead Sales consultant at our San Diego - Kearny Mesa studio, back when we had 44 locations (now up to 150!!!) I was brought on as part of an acquisition that got us our first West Coast representation. Since then, We've developed the Western Division into a powerhouse! In the early days, we had a contest and a number of us OG's won bagels and coffee. Management failed to deliver on the bagel promise, and although it wasn't the biggest deal in the world, the field team enjoyed throwing some playful shade in the form of bagel memes and GIF's. I remember crying laughing in the studio chatting amongst my peers on teams. This was ongoing, and something we would all callback to often when we needed some comedic relief in the system. Fast forward about 9 months. I had just finished onboarding for my new role as Regional Manager. Do you know what I did on my first day? I sent every single person on my team bagels. It was a symbolic turning of the page. I wanted to set the tone that their leadership would look different moving forward. I wanted to start building a foundation of trust. Sometimes it's the little things that have the most meaningful impact. Being thoughtful matters. Being kind matters. Modeling team dynamic at the highest level matters. Following through matters! And before everyone asks, it's an angry everything bagel with habanero schmear. Special thanks to Kara Devereux for approving the cost! Do you believe in coincidences?? I strongly do. I started my journey a year ago exact, at #metso. It has now been the whole twelve months, 52 weeks, 365 days ago since I arrived at our office, for the first time. Time has really flown (and me too!) and it has been a colorful, very exciting ride - so far. Cannot wait for the adventures to come.. Speaking of coincidences. I left a note on a ramdom desk on one morning, located at our FLEX working area. After, went to have a word with a person sitting by the desk. She found out to be our Sales Operations specialist Duyen Le (Sales Operations & Business Analytics, Business Development), usually sitting at the same area as I often do. And that is how our "shared ride" began. We work in a totally different functions with completely different kinds of tasks and duties, but still share thoughts and wild ideas & lunches breaks, to practice active networking. In a long run this creates well-being, the feeling of belonging and having every day support and strong bonds inside of the organization, to make our days happier and live, onsite.
