Great example on how user behavior is very different in real world !. Advance features do not guarantee user satisfaction in fact works opposite in many cases. I firmly believe that user perspective should be at the centre of feature enhancements.

The standard loading time for a website ideally falls within 2-3 seconds. 🟢 1-2 seconds: Excellent! Users experience your site as fast and responsive. 🟡 3-5 seconds: acceptable. It’s fine but may cause higher bounce rates as you approach 5 seconds. 🔴 Over 5 seconds: Slow. High chance of user drop-off, with many visitors abandoning the page.

Making your search bar prominent could actually hurt your bottom line. At least that's what our data shows from this recent test. Most brands assume prominently featuring search is a no-brainer for driving more revenue. The conventional wisdom goes: "If customers can easily search for what they want, they'll convert more often!" But our latest experiment puts that assumption to the test. Here's what we did: 1️⃣ Exposed Prominent Search Bar • Eye-catching placement across desktop, mobile, and tablet • Made finding products as easy as a quick search 2️⃣ Rigorously Measured Impact • Tracked metrics like revenue per user • Analyzed conversion rates by traffic source/device 3️⃣ Maximized Learnings Through A/B Testing • Controlled testing for statistical validity • Data-driven approach to reach solid conclusions And the results defy conventional logic. We actually saw a 1.87% decrease in overall average revenue per user. Even more surprising - mobile users barely seemed to use or notice the exposed search functionality. Making search front-and-center doesn't automatically convert more customers. What’s your experience with this?

Some websites use this type of dropdown without having a search functionality, making it very difficult for users to find their choice of option when there are too many options present. Adding a search functionality to dropdown menus can greatly improve the user experience by allowing users to quickly search and select their desired option instead of manually scrolling through a long list. However, I found one extension where you can search in dropdowns, even when the website itself does not have this feature. Extension :- https://lnkd.in/djjVgqm4

Search traffic has higher conversions. We tested darkening the rest of the site when users search to increase transactions and add-to-carts. Problem and insights: Search traffic has higher conversions. Let’s use this and highlight the search. Hypothesis: If we gray the rest of the site while the user is searching, we will lower their cognitive load and lead to more transactions and add-to-cart. Outcome/Takeaway: Mobile win, Desktop learn The test performed better on mobile where all KPIs improved and cart additions were flat. On the desktop the results were mediocre, and cart additions dropped significantly. Implement it on mobile, and find other solutions for desktop.
