AI hardware startup GEMESYS has raised €8.6M in pre-seed funding, led by Amadeus APEX Technology Fund and Atlantic Labs, with support from NRW.BANK, Sony Innovation Fund, and Plug and Play Tech Center. The funding will accelerate R&D and team expansion as GEMESYS develops next-gen AI chips to strengthen Europe’s role in AI hardware innovation. Highlight of my week was moderating an AI discussion 🔥 CEO Club London put together an amazing event about all the ways AI will transform our world in the next five to ten years. I know a thing or two about an AI-powered future because Deus Robotics builds AI robots for warehouses. But I’ve learned so much from our speaker Volodymyr Bandura, partner at Innolytics Group. By the way, he’s also a global ambassador for Singularity University co-founded by the famous Ray Kurzweil! During the Q&A, I couldn’t resist asking him about the AI future of the warehousing industry. Here’s the gist of his answer: - Most likely, humans and AI systems will complement each other - Robots have a huge potential in optimizing warehousing and manufacturing, particularly, in the Western World where there’s a constant labour shortage - Cost-effective solutions have a great future As a tech founder, it’s all music to my ears!
