Telling and Listening: Art is an industry of ideas, it's truly a people business. It is about communication, connection. How you are able to portray your work to other people will determine how far you go. Though, thought out descriptions of work are different from true communication. Something I see many artists struggle with is having a white-knuckle grip on what their work is supposed to mean, to the point that there is no room for interpretation of the viewer. They exclude the dialogue. Yes, What are your ideas, and why do you find them important? Also, how can another set of eyes develop the work even further?

Balancing Act: Creativity vs. Client Needs! ✨🎬 Balancing our creative vision with client needs can be tricky. Here are 5 tips to find that sweet spot: 1. Clear Communication: Understand your client’s vision and expectations from the get-go. Clear communication avoids misunderstandings. 2. Set Boundaries: Know when to push back on creative decisions that may compromise the quality of the work. 3. Educate Your Clients: Sometimes clients need a little insight into why certain creative choices work best. Educate them gently and respectfully. 4. Flexibility is Key: Be open to compromise. Finding a middle ground can lead to innovative solutions. 5. Showcase Examples: Use previous work or mock-ups to demonstrate your ideas. Visual aids can help clients see your vision more clearly. Striking a balance between creativity and client needs is all part of the fun!

This talk is 12 years old but still powerful. Creative Confidence! Imagine thinking that you aren’t creative and then learning it’s not that you’re not creative it’s just that you don’t practice being creative. Creativity isn’t just for designers and painters and anyone on your creative services team. If you can every single week/month take your teams/company’s through creative brainstorming. Do that for a year and really make it a big deal and I’m sure your company will never be the same. It may not seem like it immediately but trust you’ll start to see and feel a different company, more engaged teams, and the list of benefits goes on and on! #FooliesApproved

Visual Maps tell the story of everything that is important in an organisation – the initiatives, the strategic imperatives, the cultural aspirations, and the threats and challenges - to name just a few. As employees have opportunities to have conversations about what they see, they are immersed in the narrative, priorities and passion of the organisation. Once you see a map, you can’t ‘unsee’ it! Igniting brilliance through brainstorming! Whenever I have new marketing ideas, I often draw them out on a whiteboard to better visualize the concepts in my mind. This picture gives you a sneak peek of what PQE Group services will look like this year – and I never said I was Da Vinci. Shedding our skin to update our offerings continuously is a fundamental aspect of staying competitive in the market. It is also one of the business elements I enjoy the most. Brainstorming cultivates creativity through diverse idea generation, and visual illustrations enhance comprehension and organization for effective communication. A big thanks to my team, who constantly updates our materials, follows my ideas, and puts together amazing graphics from my terrible artwork! We have a very bright year ahead. #brainstorming #ideation #marketing
