And that’s a wrap! Earlier this week, I had the privilege of joining NYC Employment and Training Coalition (NYCETC)’s 2024 Conference Setting NYC’s Workforce Agenda, kicking off with an Opening Reception in collaboration with Fund for the City of New York and New York Jobs CEO Council. This was followed by two days of powerful programming including a panel I moderated on upskilling - what a tremendous turnout and critical conversation! A heartfelt thank you to Gisele Castro, Randolph (Randy) Peers, Angie Kamath, Priya Ramanathan, and Arana Hankin-Biggers for their leadership insights and commitment to advancing solutions that strengthen our workforce and economy. The conversation explored the importance of upskilling to meet jobseeker and business needs and underscored the urgent need for collaboration among workers, employers, educational institutions, and government to bridge skill gaps and unlock opportunities for all. BRAVO to Gregory J Morris, MPA, Stephanie Birmingham, and Debbie Roman, MBA, CNP for their leadership and advocacy in workforce development and producing a fantastic event! Their vision and execution of the content and community-building experience demonstrates the power of what’s possible when leaders come together to identify solutions for the greater good! Together, we’re shaping a future where everyone can make it. And as a New Yorker, I couldn’t be prouder and more optimistic for what’s to come!
It was great to see you, Degan! I look forward to our collaboration.
