We developed this Prelogin system for Pilgrim which I felt was quite impressive. Default Shopify checkout feels boring with lots of fields in quick succession needs to be filled. It can cause lots of dropoffs and less user conversion. I personally stopped purchasing for many brands as I get tired of filling addresses. Here flow is quite simple. When you click on cart checkout you need to enter your phone number and flow happens based on whether you are an old customer or a new one. Here is a screenshot of the same. You can checkout it at website. #ecommerce

Shopify merchants offer a variety of discounts for their customers. When a customer qualifies for multiple discounts, the logic on which discount to apply can often be confusing. As a part of the new Shopify Checkout, there is a new "Discounts Allocator Function" that will enable you to have a higher degree of customization when you define discount allocation strategies. For example you can create: 1️⃣ Limits by cart 2️⃣ Priority tiers 3️⃣ Single best discount per category/product tier 4️⃣ Custom stacking Shopify is also working on improving the interoperable conditions and stacking of discounts as well as better error messaging for developers. I think #3 and #4 are great features as this gives merchants more control over determining the very discount + if they want to combine discounts it's now easier. All of this functionality is predicated on upgrading to Shopify's Checkout Extensibility.

Shopify update: If you were sending invoices to customers, until now they couldn't apply discount codes during checkout. It's now possible, so discount codes can be applied for draft orders you create and invoice. All you need to do is: 1. Create a draft order, add products and a customer. 2. Click "Send invoice" and send it to your customer's email. 3. The customer will receive the email. 4. They'll click the link that takes them directly to checkout. 5. They can apply any discount code they have, e.g. from a promotion. The change applies to new draft orders. If you want it to work with an older order, you will need to recreate it. This is also good news if your main method of selling is draft orders and invoices, for example in some B2B cases. Discounts were always a limitation in Shopify, but with the newest feature releases, including Function APIs, it's one less reason to move away from the platform. #shopify #shopifyplus #ecommerce

Shopify has just released new update for "Multiple discounts from a single Function" in the latest APIs version. No longer will you have to deal with the frustration of hitting the limit on automatic discounts, as you can now apply several discounts from one function, counted as a single automatic discount. This means that applying tiered discounts per product has never been easier and more straightforward. We Haydon Power - Shopify Plus Agency have already made use of this for the upcoming MuscleFood Main store on Shopify, building seamless Tiers discounts rules where clients can easily set/update tiered discounts per product from metafields definitions.
