THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RICH AND WEALTHY Coming up, it took me 3 years to make $70K. Now, by the grace of God, I make it in 3 minutes. But the most important part is that it’s done on behalf of giving back to those who need it most. I had a great time bringing awareness to artists at this Art Basel. But the most gratifying moment was when I was able to donate my time to one of my favorite foundations. Social media is full of people showing off what they spent on cars and planes, but a wise man once told me: “Wealth is a mindset. It’s not always money. Wealth is time, spirituality, family, and sometimes money. Rich people talk about how much they spent in a year. But truly wealthy people talk about how much they gave in a year.” It’s time to highlight the generous people making a real difference the ones who aren’t just in the room; they’re changing lives. People like those who showed up to Leonardo DiCaprio and Rewild’s Art Basel event to help save and protect our planet. And to those who consistently show up for great causes, as well as all the volunteers and charitable workers out there, boots on the ground, working every day serving others: We salute you.

This broader view of wealth is so refreshing. It reminds us that true richness comes from a balanced, fulfilling life, not just a fat bank account. This perspective aligns with the concept of "ikigai" - finding purpose and satisfaction in life. When we focus on all aspects of wealth, we're more likely to find our ikigai and feel truly fulfilled.
Huge respect on an amazing share Daymond John . You’re spot on, Social media is full of people showing off what they spent on cars and planes, however not everyone shows off what they spend but use social media to make a difference while grinding away for a much bigger reason. Some assist others to make a difference but don’t get paid. Some are there to influence those who need it. And yet some open up or create mutually benifitial opportunities for others as well as ourselves that align with our passion & purpose. Whatever reason , paid or not. Some do so for a reason and sometimes that reason might be because it’s needed. Those who do so are true leaders especially when their reason for assisting others without getting paid , for those leaders who contribute regardless of pay shall be known for making a difference . That said: continue making a difference as it’s needed by many especially in todays age.
Daymond John, your generosity inspires others to create lasting impact beyond material wealth. Let's celebrate those making real differences.
70k in 3 minutes is wild. It's beautiful to get to the place where you can share and help others to this level.
That's the same thing that Tory Lanez said when he came out with nfts and made a million dollars in 5 seconds
This is wonderful. Think about people who need help that will not be reached through a traditional charitable organization; many fall just outside of qualifications or requirements, but still need help. There is a large hurting population that will not see help and need hope.
