A piece of cross-functional collaboration advice: If you're in a meeting trying to problem solve, and someone pops into your head who could be critical to finding the solution, follow that gut feeling. Get the right people involved, when that instinct hits. My job includes tracking those people down and pulling them in. Customers don't care about your org chart. They do care about working products that help them win. Bring the key stakeholders that can make that happen into the conversation, as soon as you notice they're missing. #CrossFunctionalCollaboration #ProblemSolving #Collaboration

Often #collaboration can feel more about meetings than meaningful progress… Which frustrates the hell out of me because it is essential, but it’s often overcomplicated. Let’s simplify it! To start, think about collaboration as working together toward a shared goal - nothing more, nothing less. If you’re struggling, it’s probably due to one of these: 🧊 Lack of clarity on the goal 🧊 Undefined roles 🧊 Communication breakdowns 🧊 Misaligned priorities Collaboration is never about who takes the lead, but about leveraging each other’s strengths! My biggest lesson in collaboration is clear goals, open communication, and a little trust go a LONG way. What’s been your biggest barrier to collaboration? Pop it in the comments!👇

Do you sometimes compromise your way out of conflict? Collaboration can be a better way if the conditions are right. Here’s what I mean: Compromise usually means that each person has to give something up. Collaboration, on the other hand, is working together from a place of connection. When people get connected first by more deeply understanding each other, they can then communicate openly and supportively toward a solution that contributes to each other’s needs being fully met. Compromise is sometimes the best we can do, but if you want a more effective solution to a conflict, collaboration is key. #compromise #conflict #mediation #collaboration
