Ever noticed how startups obsess over 'culture' yet end up as indistinguishable as grains of sand? It's time for a seismic shift. Traditional hiring? Overrated. Degrees? A dime a dozen. It's about building an employer brand that resonates, attracts, and retains the kind of people who don't just fill roles—they propel your startup into the stratosphere. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲? Setting the stage for legacy… love that reframe
It's funny, I just got off a call where I was lamenting (yet again) how broken the hiring process is.
A post to my heart ! Let's build better futures by building a community Daryl!! 🚀 💚 🙌 PS. At what length is a beard considered a beard?
Tribes tend to stick around much longer than a team!
Your hiring strategy is your secret sauce for startup success. Build a tribe that propels your vision and startup beyond expectations.
The biggest takeaway for me is having a recruiter in the mix. A good one will know what the market is doing and should have candidates for the position. Many companies rely on HR people that don't know what they don't know. Kind of like an ostrich with its head in the ground.
Valuable tips for Startups, Two point were more bold for me : Stay agile and continues learning! I want to add one points which goes back to early beginning startups: "Do not give up soon" You could revise your strategies, plan, road map but Do not give up!
By emphasizing the human element in the hiring process, you advocate for a paradigm shift from traditional metrics of success to a culture-first approach. It underscores the importance of building a tribe, not just a workforce.
One of the best posts I’ve seen on the topic. A very critical one, by the way. My 🎩’s off.
P.S. Ever wonder why some startups explode onto the scene while others fizzle out? Spoiler: It's all in the tribe you build. Let's make your hiring strategy your startup's secret sauce.
