Since joining #Cyera, people often ask me why I chose to join and what makes the technology special. Last week, at DataSec 2024, I had the chance to showcase it for the first time—hopefully in my unique informative but entertaining style 😂 Here’s the challenge I see: as Data Security vendors, we strive to address the diverse needs of our customers, each of whom operates in unique markets with their own differentiating capabilities. This creates an incredible variety of unique data types, each with specific contexts, risks, and impacts to their business. The problem? Most Data Security vendors, serving hundreds or thousands of customers, are forced to rely on generic detection methods like regexes or scripts—until now. To demonstrate what Cyera can do, I built the most unique business imaginable in my demo lab: a SUPERHERO TALENT AGENCY. With no built-in identifiers specific to this fictional business, the goal was to see just how much we could uncover in such a specialized environment. Curious to see the results?
