‘Divisive' is Glassdoor's word of the year for 2024. Election concerns. DEI debates. Return-to-office tensions. 2024 has been a pressure cooker for workplace relations. As someone passionate about employee wellbeing, this concerns me. Let's focus on what unites us: 1. Shared purpose: Every team needs a “why.” A clear, shared mission keeps everyone going in the same direction. 2. Mutual respect: Fostering empathy by encouraging active listening and open dialogue. 3. Collective growth: Investing in opportunities that uplift everyone, like cross-training or mentorship programs.
