10 years ago my mom bought a F30 3-series cost her over $65k. It’s a fun car to drive, and I begged her not to sell it. However, recently, she wants to buy an EV because one of her best friends did so. She was surprised by its self-driving mode on highway. NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) is a civil spec in Chinese market. GM-backed Baojun has debuted a Bolt-sized EV called Cloud, equipped with this self-driving ability, and it costs less than $20k. It is surprised that its NOA ability is driven by DJI the global leading drone manufacturer. DJI is a high risky brand. So it’s mobility solution department has already changed their name called 卓驭 zyt. They are actively working with brands like Volkswagen and SGMW. This is why I keep saying that Chinese car brands are not strong for no reason, it's because there is a supply chain behind them. It's not exactly Volkswagen Mercedes and BMW that really supports the German automotive industry, but also ZF Bosch and Continental.
