📚 My leadership library has grown quite a bit over the past two months! Some of these books were thoughtful gifts (thank you, Phil Murray) others were inspired by attending author seminars at conferences, and a few came highly recommended. I’m excited to dive into these, learn all the things, and continue growing as a leader. Looks like my reading list will keep me busy for a while! What leadership books have had the biggest impact on you? I’d love to hear your recommendations!

This is one of the recommended texts for the Critical Insights: Leadership and Strategy module in my Master’s program at the University of Bolton. As someone deeply invested in exploring how leadership shapes strategic decision-making, I believe this book will provide valuable perspectives and practical tools to enhance my understanding. If you’ve read this book or studied Peter Northouse’s work, I’d love to hear your thoughts, what key insights did you take away? 🌟 True leadership isn’t about creating followers; it’s about building a culture of trust and respect. When leaders lead with empathy and intention, they empower others to step up, feel valued, and bring their best every day. 📚 One of the most impactful ways to develop these qualities? Reading—especially nonfiction books that broaden perspectives, strengthen emotional intelligence, and deepen our understanding of human behavior and relationships. A book can be a mentor, guiding us in ways that transform how we lead, connect, and inspire others. When we invest in self-education through books, we gain the insights and tools needed to lead authentically and positively. 💡 So let’s take a step towards true leadership. Pick up a book that challenges you to grow and reflect. Leaders are learners, and the journey starts with the pages of a powerful nonfiction book. #Leadership #Empathy #Nonfiction #Reading

How to Win Friends and Influence People ------ Here's the original post: In 1936, Dale Carnegie wrote "How to Win Friends and Influence People." By 2011, it was already considered one of the 100 most influential books ever. Why? In a word: Leadership. Leadership, as Carnegie showcased, isn't merely about holding a position of power or having a title. It’s about connecting with people on a deeper level. Every leader should read it at least once, IMO. Here's a guide with the principles mentioned in the book:

The two most powerful words in English Language for every leader: “I need” That’s what I read in One Minute Manager By Ken Blanchard. A short book of less than 2 hours read that teaches simple leadership tricks that encourages and admonishes us in taking responsibility. Being ready for the assignment and carefully assessing your situation before you gain that confidence and believing in yourself. Endeavour to consume this great material and I am convinced you will thank me later. I need you to read and comment later on with your questions, thoughts and perceptions on the book.
