Have you heard about the Dave Grohl vs. Taylor Swift drama? Dave's stance is basically, Real bands play 100% live and Taylor's Eras Tour has some music backing tracks, but this is more common than most people think. Falling In Reverse had to cancel a tour a few years ago because they were heavily relying on computers and laptops to run backing tracks and control lights to save on a cost of hiring stagehands. Touring is expensive! Heavily relying on technology that has the potential to cancel a leg of a tour isn't good either. I don't think Dave Grohl had malice in heart in saying "Taylor uses backing tracks and Foo Fighters don't." Both Dave Grohl and Taylor Swift we're both in London putting on shows this week, so who knows, maybe they'll meet up and have some drinks. Technology is great, and musicians are living in the golden age of gear (quote from Rhett Shull), but dependency on technology is not a good strategy.
