What makes health partnerships successful? This is a question many of us working in creating, building, and strengthening partnerships ask ourselves. Here are five points that I’ve heard today. Partnerships are successful when: 1) Political Leadership is central 2) Agency heads drop their egos 3) Success is sharply defined 4) Extensive communication happens 5) A professional group coordinates and creates ownership amongst all partners These insights come from today‘s The Task Force for Global Health, Inc. meeting at #UNGA, and build on Dr Bill Foege‘s book. The World Health Organization is a proud Co-founder and partner of the Taskforce. It was an impressive lineup of participants, and concrete examples were shared. Many made the case for co-creation, spanning public and private, initiatives that are driven and led by the global south. These points are particularly important given the complexity of today’s challenges. It’s clear we need multisectorial coalitions to tackle climate & health challenges, AMR etc. Let’s continue to forge them going forward and drive measurable impact.

Successful health partnerships are built on strong collaboration, mutual trust, clear communication, shared goals, and aligned resources among stakeholders. Thank you Catharina Boehme. All points you highlighted particularly #1 and #2 are very critical. In addition, consistency in achieving results and a commitment to continuous improvement are critical factors that enhance the impact and longevity of such partnerships. #healthpartnerships

What does a successful CEO who reads 100 books a year do for fun? He writes his own book outlining the great things that can happen inside an organization when Purpose and Core Values align. "Let's Go: How Core Values and Purpose Create a Business Journey Worth Making" is “100% about our process at RSi, in terms of what we call our DNA, our Purpose and our Core Values as they correlate and contribute to a winning culture," says RSi CEO Brent Rollins about his first book published by Forbes Books' Advantage Media Group. Why start a three-day conference on the future of healthcare with a keynote on listening? Because loneliness is one of the key health challenges of our time, and listening is a powerful antidote to it. Listening not only addresses loneliness but also sets the foundation for meaningful collaboration and connection, which are critical in shaping the future of healthcare. And, in a conference called Disruptive Thinkers, listening also helps us to be generative and think in new ways. In my opening keynote at this international conference, I shared practical tools to help participants truly listen to each other throughout the event. From the Listening Beanie – a metaphor for being fully present and engaged, to the three bubbles: 💛 What you say 💙 What you mean 🩷 How I interpret it And the importance of tapping into multiple intelligences – verbal, visual, somatic, metaphorical, and collective. These tools are designed to unlock deeper connections and foster innovation. It was an honor to share the stage with incredible speakers like Anders Tegnell, Michael Maniaci, Ulf Andersson, Helen Bevan, Dr. Kedar Mate, and Maja Karlsson. With participants from countries such as Singapore, the USA, the UK, and Germany, it was truly a global exchange of ideas. How do you think starting the conference with a keynote on the power of listening impacted the discussions and connections throughout the event? The positive feedback I received suggests it made a difference – what do you think? #listening #theartoflistening #qdisruptive #disruptivethinkers #futureofhealthcare #keynotespeaker #qulturum
