🌟 Conquer Your Career Change Fears: Confidence Boosters for Moms 🌟 Fear is one of the biggest obstacles that you will ever face in life. It will open the door to insecurity, worry and a lack of belief in yourself - if you don’t confront it. Fear will tell you that you are a bad mother. With the same swing, it will tell you that you will never get that promotion so why try? Many people are unable to overcome fear because they let the overwhelm run their lives. Therefore, before you even think of dealing with the fear, here is a big tip of how to deal with the overwhelm- START WITH THE LITTLE THINGS THAT YOU CAN CHANGE. Here are other powerful strategies to build confidence and overcome fear: Celebrate Small Wins: Track and celebrate your daily achievements, no matter how small. This builds a positive momentum and shows progress. Visualize Success: Spend a few minutes each day visualizing yourself succeeding in your new career. It trains your mind to anticipate and embrace positive outcomes. Affirmations: Start your day with empowering statements. “I am capable of amazing things” or “I have the skills to succeed” can set a powerful tone for your day. Skill Up: Identify any gaps in your knowledge and take steps to fill them. Online courses, workshops, or even mentoring can provide a confidence boost. Being good at something is a simple way to build your confidence. Support Network: Surround yourself with positive influences. Engage with fellow moms, mentors, and coaches who uplift and encourage you. Meet people that you look up to and ask them how they got to where they are..You will realize that we all face the same problems but in a different shape. Remember, you’ve already mastered one of the toughest jobs on the planet—parenting. Channel that strength and go for your dreams! Why your values determine your life’s outcome… I really believe this. Even more so because of personal events over the last 3 years. It’s why I dedicate time with clients to unpack theirs in our first few sessions. They a) help me understand your behaviour and b) determine a significant amount of your success. You see, people who are connected and aware of their values make decisions in line with them, and therefore, have more power. Not connected = blind decision making Not connected = ego centric choices Not connected = chasing instant gratification Not connected = lack of clarity Ever been in work or relationship scenarios that “just don’t feel right?” Chances are they were misaligned with your values. Being aware of that helps you navigate the situation with clarity. Being unaware leads to you blaming yourself, persevering in harmful situations, or chasing the wrong path. Don’t believe me? Cast your mind back to the last time something felt like it was a value clash. On a scale of 1-10: ❓How motivated were you, really? ❓How happy or fulfilled were you? ❓Could you REALLY see yourself in that situation long term? ❓How was your mental health? Bet the ratings pretty low right? I made the decision after having my daughter that I could never and would never bend to someone else’s will, or compromise my own values for the sake of their success. And I’ve shown it’s possible to make money, build the career you want, and have the life you deserve by living to your values. It’s not all fluff, it’s a strategic career planning move. Let me show you 👇 P.S please enjoy this selfie of us with Octopussy, my child’s new favourite toy (which weirdly she actually named without any Bond knowledge) 🐙😻 #career #careerplanning #values #coach

If you also feel like you're not making headway on your goal, and you feel stuck, chances are your actions (and non-actions) are arguing for where you are or for your past, not what you really truly desire. It totally makes sense. Your experience is grounded in the past and what you've done. Plus, what is familiar is safe. It keeps you surviving. The thing is you want to thrive. That frustration you feel at falling into old patterns and being stuck, despite being committed to wanting to create a new career and life for yourself, is your future self talking. She knows you're capable of so much more. Here's the thing -- All the reasons to stay small and in what's familiar are made up. They're stories in your mind, rooted in fear, which loves to catastrophize that finishing the paper and the degree, upleveling your career, finishing the novel, getting your first speaking gig will be the death of you and everything you've known and built. They feel real and valid, but they're just stories -- thoughts and beliefs that you've picked up or built along the way. This is great news because it means that the opposite of these stories is just as equally true and possible. It's just as possible that you finish the paper on time and do well, complete the degree with relative ease, land the position you've been eyeing, shift to a dream career, finish the novel and land an agent, get your first speaking gig. I know it's easier to believe the ones where we fail because our brains have a negativity bias. That's why you need to consciously choose the other stories and believe they're just as possible. So why not choose to believe your success is inevitable, if you're believing stories anyway? It's a much better, more expansive story than the one that has you failing. Shifting away from unhelpful stories and developing a more supportive set of self-beliefs is part of the work you do when we work together. Book a consult call and let's change today's story for tomorrow's success. https://buff.ly/45ZxzJd #changeyourthinking #confidence #getunstuck #highachievingwomen #impostersyndrome

It is important to approach goal setting and our dreams with a positive AND realistic mindset to shed those pesky self-imposed limits. Anything less is already setting ourselves up for failure. ⭐ Work on small goals — Take things one step at a time with attainable and measurable goals. ⭐ Meditate — Get a clear picture of what you want to achieve in the first place. Clarity is key otherwise losing sight is inevitable. Meditation also helps gain focus. ⭐ Invest in yourself — take classes for skillsets that are needed or purchase the tools necessary to complete the work towards your dream. ⭐ Develop a mantra — Keep it positive and encouraging. This can also help keep your reason for what you are doing strong and fresh in your mind. ⭐ Create or find a community or network — This provides support, accountability, and gives ideas and feedback along the way to achieving your goals. Within the last year, I have started on the road to overcoming my fears and insecurities to achieve my goals. Shedding the limits I have spent years meticulously building to protect myself is not an easy task. It’s downright frightening, but it is also exhilarating. Recognizing and feeling my past accomplishments has helped me to realize my future capabilities are endless. It reminds me of my growth and the rewards I have reaped both through the process and at the end. It promises to deliver again and again. Building and cultivating a support network has done wonders to give me a safe space to test the waters and gain the feedback necessary to take another step with a sure footing. And if I fall? Then others are there to help apply some first aid and get me back on my feet again. So I tell you, what I have told myself: Be courageous! You are stronger than your fears! With confidence, inward motivation, and support networks, we can achieve amazing heights and then it’s only that the sky is the limit! #amwriting #goalsetting #yougotthis #motivation #tipsandtricks #creativecontent

Often, a career transition is triggered by a dramatic ending. It could be a layoff, divorce, health crisis, or other life events that change everything. As you design your next chapter, you are confronted with the feelings and consequences of an epic ending. I have found that three steps, taken consciously, can significantly assist you. Step One: Grieve Taking account of your losses is like cleaning a wound. It hurts a lot, but it prepares you to heal. Your approach to grief will be personal. No one can tell you exactly how to address your losses. You will determine if it’s journaling, therapy, meditation, long walks on the beach, or all of the above. Step Two: Ground Ask yourself, “How am I right now?” You are breathing, you have people who love you and people you love. You might be able to see the sunshine or feel the breeze. You are alive. Ask yourself again, “How am I now?” Moment by moment you regain your faith in yourself and your future. Step Three: Go Yep, there is a time for action. But, be aware you may cycle back to grief and may need to ground yourself along the way. Endings are unpredictable and take longer than you want them to. Meanwhile, you must move forward, both for yourself and for others who might love you or depend on you. Taking the Elevations career assessment at this juncture is brilliant. It helps you refocus on who you are and who you want to become. While career coaching is not therapy, as a coach, I do important healing work. I can listen, offer support, and perhaps most importantly, observe and describe the improvements I witness. Being a career coach is both fulfilling and challenging. I’m so grateful to do this work. 🔥💖Transition - Is totally UNDER-rated💖🔥 ........movement, passage, or change from one position, state, stage, subject, concept, etc., to another; change..... It can mean: - Transitioning from 1 job to the next (Redundancy or just a change) - From being a stay at home mum to heading back into the workplace - Living a life with a new diagnosis - Losing your job and finding a new one - Starting a Business or selling one The list could go on. What is the one thing they all have in common? 💞You have to let go of something old and navigate something new. 💞 Not as easy as it sounds. But, my goodness - does it have the potential to be something B-E-A-UTIFUL.... How can you guarantee this, I hear you ask? Because to learn the ability to flow with the changes of life, you learn to appreciate the journey instead of just constantly focusing on the destination.🎴🎴 Wow Megs - Deep thinking for an afternoon. Oh yes.. I help others learn more about themselves. Deep down to the absolute CORE. Peeling away the layers of what they thought was, and learning more about what is. Learning to navigate their new path and enjoying the rideeee.. ❓Are you going through a life Transition? Do you want to work with me to get the best from it?
