Hello Folks!
Do you need an election day distraction that presents ideas which everyone can agree on? Well have I got a video for you! This is a short primer on what passive ranging is, and how it is performed at the field level. At Gunnar Energy Services, we always run passive and active ranging in tandem. This affords us the opportunity to compare methods, and has enabled us to develop automated passive ranging software which automatically collects, processes and displays results without human intervention. Our advanced techniques have allowed us to mill and re-enter casings, perform fish bypass and open hole re-entry, as well as direct top down "bullseye" re-entries. Previously, these operational successes were thought to be unachievable using passive techniques. Through unrelenting experimentation, research and development, we have redefined passive ranging, and now present the most capable system in the industry today!

Hello folks as Clinton Moss here with Gunner Energy Services and today I wanna talk to you about our passive magnetic ranging technology that we call Ever Ready. So first of all, why do we give it that name Ever Ready? Well, it's it's spelled out there precisely. That should give you some hint. We're always ready. We're just at a moments notice to use our passive magnetic ranging algorithm and our hardware. So that's where the name comes from. Folks, now what is passive magnetic ranging? Well, that's using a sensor. It can be a wireline tool or an MWD to collect the magnetic field down hole. Now that magnetic field that we measure, if we're in the presence of another wellbore or a fish or anything metallic beneath the ground, there will be some disturbance. The disturbance in the Earth magnetic field that we can detect when we sample that magnetic field, we can extract the Earth's. Killed from that measurement and just focus in on the interference from a nearby wellbore and then calculate with great precision our distance and direction between the sensor that sampling the magnetic field and the fish or the wellbore, whatever is offset to us that's generating that disturbance in the Earth field. So folks, you can get that data as I said with a wire line sensor or an MWD gunner can provide the sensors. Or we can use an industry standard MWD to give us these magnetic and acceleration readings that we use to calculate the distance and direction with our passive ranging ever ready algorithm. Now some MWD tools are a little bit more sophisticated than others. Some tools can collect these data while you're drilling ahead either with an RSS or a motor and other MWD will still works fine, but you have to stop and take static surveys. But either way, either way, all these data can be streamed into our software and we can automatically calculate the distance and direction based upon those data. So folks, where do you use ever ready? Well, I'll tell you a couple of stories. You can bypass around the fish. OK, if you had a fish stuck in the hole and open hole below you, you might want to drill around saw track around that fish and save your open holes so you don't have to redrill it. What have we want to purposely hit a well? OK, we might want to drill down and home in on a well and hit it. Why would we do that? To mill and re-enter to plug the well. OK, so perhaps it's on fire or leaf well. Perhaps just it it's needs to be plugged and abandoned so we can use ever ready or passive magnetic ranging in that situation as well. Or another popular use of the system is to avoid OK wells. If you have a bunch of wells, you're crowded. Let's say offshore or on land, we want to drill and avoid that spaghetti of pipes so we don't have an unintended intersection. So folks, you can use ever ready passive magnetic ranging. You already have an MWD on board if you're drilling, okay, drilling a well bore. So we can just use the existing MWD that's in the BHA. So folks, it's a very straightforward system. It's always ready, It's ever ready for you. So for all your magnetic ranging. Seeds folks, one call does it all called Gunner Energy Services.
Thanks Clinton! Great video as always! I think this EverReady technology and passive magnetic ranging have implications for the future of our industry that people haven't even dreamed up yet. Hopefully, drilling will benefit from technology like this to create even more profitable wellbores with complex trajectories in crowded fields.
At Gunnar Energy Services we’re redefining passive ranging in the energy industry. Check out our CEO’s latest video—a concise primer on passive ranging and its field applications. We’ve developed automated software that collects, processes, and displays results without human intervention. Our advanced techniques have enabled us to achieve operational successes previously deemed unattainable with passive methods, such as milling and re-entering casings, performing fish bypass and open-hole re-entry, and executing direct top-down “bullseye” re-entries. Through experimentation, research, and development, we now offer the most capable passive ranging system in the industry.

Like many technical trainers, I understand the repetitive nature of common questions. To address this, I recently visited the video studio at Fluke Corporation HQ to shoot a series of informative videos we're calling DER Tech Talks. These concise videos will cover solar basics and demonstrate the process of conducting common tests in solar installations. In this particular video, I delve into the fundamental aspects of an I-V curve. Stay tuned for more valuable insights! #TechnicalTraining#SolarEnergy#DERTechTalks

Weir Motion Metrics | Enoch Chow | ShovelMetrics™ Gen 3 continues to deliver performance boosts for mines around the world!
Watch here: https://lnkd.in/difUeXy3, as ShovelMetrics™ Gen 3’s alert system prompts maintenance crews to perform a tooth change-out before further damage to the adapter or bucket lip could occur.
Here are 5 things you must know about ShovelMetrics™ Gen 3:
1. It provides mines the advantage they need by minimizing unplanned downtime and productivity losses.
2. It uses artificial intelligence and computer vision to provide critical missing G.E.T detection alerts, tooth wear monitoring to anticipate change-outs, payload monitoring to ensure consistently optimized truckloads, and bucket-by-bucket particle size data for fragmentation analysis - an important digabilty metric.
3. It prevents expensive equipment downtime by allowing mines to divert contaminated loads away from the crusher while being integrated into any existing mine-management systems.
4. The advanced bucket camera provides operators with unique and unprecedented loading insights in real-time, enabling immediate action to maximize operational productivity while extending equipment lifespan.
5. Bucket-by-bucket payload monitoring for hydraulic shovels delivers continuous payload feedback to the operator, ensuring each bucket load is maximized to achieve optimal loading compliance.
