Year 3 of PhD studies progress presented for ISM University of Management and Economics doctoral committee ✅ I am very grateful for the insightful comments, questions, and suggestions from the committee professors. They will surely help me move forward and improve the dissertation – already, there are a lot of new bullet points on my to-do list. As always, a special (and continuous, really) thank you goes to my supervisor Viltė Auruškevičienė, Prof. Dr. who has been a constant source of support, helping me solve not only my research challenges but often also life's other crises 😊 Key takeaways: ✔ Value of feedback: after working on something for a long time (i.e. a thesis), it's easy to lose perspective. Receiving feedback from others, especially experts in the field, is invaluable. ✔ Clarity is key: what may seem obvious to you might not be to others. It's important to make sure that all aspects of your work are clearly defined, justified and explained to anyone who reads it. I'm very proud of my fellow students' progress, too. It’s inspiring to see how much we have all grown – not just in our research skills, but also in critical thinking, discipline, and self-confidence. Onward to the last year! 🚀

Delighted to see James A. Robinson and Daron Acemoglu been awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics. Great to finally see economists are able to add societal factors in their equations! Development and prosperity are not dependent only on gross the domestic produce. We need a whole system of functioning institutions and actors that consider equity, human wellbeing, and environment as their mission!
