Meet Brandon! Brandon has been at NW Works for two years, serving as the Productions Supervisor in NW Works’ warehouse. Being able to help adults with disabilities progress through skill building and increase their confidence to secure a job in the community is what led Brandon to NW Works. Brandon’s favorite part of his job is the community he’s created with his associates. As Production Supervisor, Brandon oversees individuals who might not have made connections if it weren’t for their occupation. Folks in the warehouse check in, develop friendships, share meals, and become a community that compliments each other to create an excellent group of workers. Community and progress are two values that Brandon mentioned many times as an important and satisfying piece of his job. These items overlap in Brandon’s role when the people NW Works serves express an interest in warehouse work. Tasks can include labeling paint cans and assembling screw kits. As with any job, individuals may come in with doubts or low confidence on their ability to do tasks. A highlight of Brandon’s job is watching these doubts transform into skill development and confidence building. If you’re interested in working for an organization that is community driven apply on our website! https://lnkd.in/dHCGMPph

Employee Spotlight: Deontae Haynes Position: Production Coordinator Company: Western Container Corporation, located in the Forrest County Industrial Park, WCC is one of the bottle manufacturers for Coca-Cola bottlers. It is WCC's largest facility producing 3 billion preforms, and 1 billion bottles annually. Q: What kind of jobs have you worked in Manufacturing? Deontae: Plywood Supervisor, Plywood press Operator, and a Coil Winder and Lacer, Currently a Production Coordinator. Q: What made you want to get into Manufacturing? Deontae: I never knew once I finished college that I would get into manufacturing, I guess you can say that God just placed me in it, but it offers great benefits and a huge opportunity for career growth. Q: What is something you think most people don’t know or understand about the Manufacturing Industry? Deontae: A lot of people tend to think that manufacturing consists of assembly lines and repetitive labor, but the truth of the matter today's manufacturing requires workers that are high skilled and have a certain level of expertise in the area they are working in. That’s why with most big-time manufacturing companies it's required for you to have a degree. Q: What is your favorite aspect of your job? Deontae: This role I am in now gives me the opportunity to connect with and lead a bunch of different personalities, I would say the best part is being able to connect and work with my crew and build a foundation and relationship off trust. Q: What advice would you give someone who is interested in working in the Manufacturing industry? Deontae: Be able to have enough humility to always learn, NEVER think you know it all. If you are in a leadership position, remember your job is to not be in charge but to take care of the people in your charge. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY. Always focus on developing strong technical skills. The most valuable thing you can have are people skills. Always be a good communicator and problem solver, that alone will take you a long way in this profession. #SeeYourselfInMFG #MEPNationalNetwork #Manufacturingmonth #PRCCPartner

Warehouse #Safety Alert! stacking and storing of huge packages in warehouse Attention all #warehouse #managers and staff! When changing packaging and adjusting quantities, it's crucial to prioritize safety to avoid potential #risks. Ensure safety protocols are in place to prevent #accidents from stacking and storing hazards. General points on Stacking. When handling materials wear work gloves and boots as necessary, e.g. sharp edges or heavier loads. Only stack material in authorized areas. Stack on a level surface and provide packing. Never make stacks higher than 3 times the minimum base width. Bagged materials shall be stacked by stepping back the layers and cross-keying the bags at least every 10 bags high. Materials shall not be stored on scaffolds or runways in excess of supplies needed for immediate operations. Brick stacks shall not be more than 7 feet in height. Remember, safety is everyone's responsibility! Let's work together to create a safe and secure working environment for all. #WarehouseSafety, #SafetyFirst #WorkplaceSafety 🚧📦🔒 Credit to owner

We love reading our 5 ⭐ Reviews from our customers. "Ordered burnhole rollers for site job. Wrong rollers were received. However, called the office and spoke to Jon D. later in the day where he sent out the correct order and collected the wrong order the next day. Customer service is too drawer. You can buy these items from multiple different suppliers, however what makes the difference is how the after sale customer service is dealt with. And in my opinion this was spot on. Well done Jon! 👏 To make a review on your experiance with us click 👉 https://loom.ly/EUnydLU #TeamEffort #CustomerServiceAtItsBest #TheEndGame #GreatFeedBack
