This is 100% why I do what I do, and it is what I teach to my patients. Sometimes they don't always like what we do, but we ALWAYS do it so they can be successful and confident living at home, alone, or wherever the road may take them. Such a great video with great intentions. #elderlysupport #elderlyexercise #rehabilitation #clinical https://lnkd.in/gejDccw8

Executive Coach | Team Coach | Coach Supervisor | Helping senior leaders and teams step into their leadership presence, navigate challenges and achieve remarkable results with purposeful, one-to-one and team coaching.
I have been back in the classroom this weekend 🎓 Training as an Integral Eye Movement Therapy practitioner (IEMT) I love learning to be able to help others, but I also love that I get to personally experience all the benefits at the same time! For those of you who haven’t heard of IEMT 🌟It utilises eye movement to create change. 🌟It supports change of undesired thought patterns. 🌟It reduces unwanted feelings to help resolve issues. 🌟It can also identify why we repeat unwanted behaviour and how to deal with them without having to dig into the past. What is something new that you are learning this week? #cpd #executivecoaching #leadershipcoach #personaldevelopment

NEXT WEEK! When Therapy Feels like "Whack-a-mole" - LIVE event with Matthew Elton. What do we do when we notice the "whack-a-mole" pattern emerging in therapy? This is the pattern of a client making progress on certain issues, only for new issues to emerge, as if to replace the old ones. Transactional Analysis (TA) provides one way of thinking about this pattern by suggesting it occurs when we work on resolving "contamination" (a cognitive issue) but miss out on tackling "confusion" (a pre-cognitive issue). This distinction can be useful for both clients and therapists, not least because it helps make sense of approaches that, on the surface, don't seem to relate to the "headline" issues the client is bringing. You can join in LIVE or purchase the recording. Use the link below to choose. https://buff.ly/3w37ATC #therapistsConnect #training4therapists #counselling

Helping you become a better OT who loves what you do! | Proud #OTNerd 🤓 | 2024 Finalist - OT of the Year | Open to questions and collaborations to help OTs Learn, Grow and Excel! | Owner of Your OT Tutor
Have you ever wondered why the self-directed therapy programs you setup for your clients never seem to go to plan? Chances are it’s not just a ‘you’ problem, or just a client problem, but a whole range of factors. In this month’s Your OT Tutor journal club session, the article we’re covering demonstrates how the Capability, Opportunity, and Motivation Model of Behaviour can be a useful way for analysing what may be going wrong. If you can find out what’s not working, you’re more likely to be able to fix the issue and have more successful self-directed therapy programs. Come along to this month’s session, or sign-up for the recording, and we can discuss what may not be going to plan in your programs and what you can try to fix it. P.S. The link you need is in the comments, but let me know if you can’t see it. #OccupationalTherapy #JournalClub #YourOTTutor #NDIS
