Complexity is cake. 🍰 Last week on ThoughtReactors, we dug up an obscure talk from one of our favorite Thought Leaders of Olde, Mr. Donald A. Schön. In the clip we watched, Schön says some wild stuff like, "In a situation of uncertainty, the problem that you face is the problem of constructing a problem because you don’t know what the problem is." 😵💫 Okay, so... he's mostly right! But he's also missing some things. 🤔 Dr. Jabe Bloom and I wondered how Schön might have put it differently if the language of complexity had been available to him. For instance, Jabe points out that uncertainty is not just that we struggle to understand the problem but that we also might try a solution again and again, getting an entirely different result each time. Kinda like baking a cake... Ingredients in --> Cake out Ingredients in --> Cake out (but slightly fluffier) Ingredients in --> Cake out (but slightly drier) See? Complexity is cake. 🍰😋 (Just not always so delicious.) Hungry for more? Check out our first full episode and give us a follow at ThoughtReactors!

Do you end up ordering the same dish on the menu every time? 🍲 Do you invest only in FDs because your parents did?💰 Do you usually stick with the same sitcom when choosing what to watch? 📺 That's familiarity bias - It's like always picking what you're used to when making decisions. But here's the catch> this bias can hold you back from discovering amazing new flavors, even if they could be more delicious than your usual choices. Want to know how to smash familiarity bias?🤔 Watch #SimplyPutByDigit episode 1 >> https://lnkd.in/dBcpffMm #digitinsurance #simplyput #familiaritybias

Never give up! We just posted episode #3 of our talk show, Notice of Demolition. I nearly pulled my mic off laughing half way through. https://lnkd.in/gDBw5mfD Some things I've learned along the way. * takes time get used to talking to a camera but the awkwardness does go away. * keep the energy level up... YouTube is meant to entertain people, not put them to sleep * you need to be consistent; YouTube's algorithm takes time to figure out who your best audience will be so don't lose hope. * don't count views; count hours watched! In short, starting a #talkshow about #sales, #marketing, #lifecoaches is easy but boring. Starting a talk show roasting them is way more fun. Check it out leave a comment on the page. Let me know what you think. Most importantly #like, #subscribe, #share...

What's your favorite tv episode and why? It's hard to pick one, right? Certainly there are many. One of mine is the Chef's Table episode with chef Grant Achatz. In it, Achatz loses his sense of taste and is constrained to find a new language to share his ideas for new dishes with his team. By finding a novel way to communicate his ideas, he creates through them. It's a form of Ubuntu. A beautiful episode full of constraints & expressions. #PositiveConstraint
