I have one question: how (and when) will OpenAI start generating returns for investors? For now, profits seem far off on the horizon. According to The Times, the company is expected to lose $5 billion this year alone. The Information reports that training costs could soar to $3 billion, while another $4 billion is being spent just to keep ChatGPT running. With burn rates like that, some are predicting OpenAI will need another cash infusion soon to keep up with the massive costs of building cutting-edge AI. What do you think?

Level 1 of AI Development: Hop in to ChatGPT or Claude, ask it for a component. Level 2: GitHub Copilot autocompletions Level 3: Chat Integrated into your IDE, like with Cursor or Avante, where you can say: "make X component like Y component, keep the styling, but do A, B, C differently, here's the schema for Y model: ..." And we're just getting started. What's level 4?

Poses an interesting challenge to MS which is trying to get corporates to adopt CoPilot.
