The 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻 I learned at work is ↣ Nobody cares about your career, so you have to own it yourself. This one’s for those: ⟡ Who are the underappreciated overachievers ⟡ Who get erased from the credits ⟡ Who didn’t “play the politics games” enough ⟡ Who get hurt by empty promises I want only overflowing success for you. You deserve it. ❋ 𝗜𝗚 𝗥𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁 ↣ https://lnkd.in/gHJysiWf Thank you to Zach Ferraro and favorited for letting me use their office to shoot so last min! I literally called that day and came by. 🙏 I published this video yesterday, and it reached over 600k views anad 50k likes on Instagram in less than a day. That's the wildest I've seen in this series on day 1. 🫣 Unsure how many of y'all are still in office or online scrolling through LinkedIn, but hope you enjoy this little video I made. Happy last (full) working week of the year! #careerlessons #careerlearnings
Chloe Shih I would take it one step further and say: don't rely on promotions to grow your career. Instead, 1) Treat your career like a business 2) Focus on acquiring qualities that will help you reach your desired outcome. 3) Build a multi-passionate career! This was one of the most painful but transformative lessons I learned in my career. I thought that my relentless work ethic and "how can I help" approach would mean that everyone would have my back, just like I had theirs. I quickly learned the brutal truth you share in this vdeo - it's simply not true and frankly people will use it to take advantage of you. While a heartbreaking lesson, I am SO grateful that I learned this earlier in my career vs. later. Excited for this series Chloe!
Chloe, this affinity nature has with you ~ stellar. grow your garden, create space in this corner of this world. i enjoyed the shipment of another well-thought-out lesson based on your core experiences. i can say that for many of your uni-chloes, we are in the presence of a diamond forged before our eyes. shine on 🩷 👏 👏 👏
Chloe Shih Thissss, you can be the hardest worker (and/or be overworked by your company despite sharing your bandwidth or not get support🥲) and still not get promoted or be given any regular advancement I've had to go through this a number of times now in my career. So I've been trying other ways to learn more and advance more effectively for my own career b/c only we know care. If anyone has any advice, please share, my ears are OPEN 🙏🏾
In today’s competitive landscape, it’s crucial to be proactive in shaping your career, seeking opportunities, building networks, and continuously learning. No one else will advocate for your success as passionately as you will, so it’s up to you to define your path, pursue your goals, and make your dreams a reality.

This is put amazingly. I say a lot “I’m not in the cool group” but this breaks down what it means when I say that. Definitely took me a long time to understand that. I’m owning it but now I understand what I NEED to do for me and not what I think should be done to get noticed.

This is so accurate and it takes a lot of time to understand this concept.
