Loved our conversation Sarah Walton Coaching. As you know, I too get to raise my hand for both of these questions. Over 80% of us leaders and entrepreneurs have felt this way at some point... and I'd bet the other 20% have too, or aren't aware of it yet. Feeling insecure or like an imposter is natural in certain moments... how you interpret it, handle it, and navigate through is the advantage 💫 Check out our full interview here: https://lnkd.in/dvCimZmR

Raise your hand if you struggle with self-doubt.🙋♀️ How about feelings that you're not worthy of having a successful business?🙋♀️ Then, like me (yes, even me), today's Episode of the Game On Girlfriend Podcast is for you. As an executive and leadership coach, and entrepreneur, Tiffany Houser knows firsthand about the rollercoaster ride of self-worth. As the founder of EVOLVE, Tiffany coaches senior leaders ready to experience powerful breakthroughs around their self-worth, authentic leadership style, vision, and purpose. One of the big pieces her team looks at first is language and how we speak, write, read, and even listen. These words are what poke holes and have us compromise our own self-worth. This isn't about your compensation or competence; we're talking about your intrinsic belief in yourself that you are worthy and valuable as a human being. You're either compromising your self-worth or grounded in your self-worth—there is no positive or negative. Tiffany helps people neutralize their language and their words. Self-worth is often misused in the entrepreneurial world; we say, "Charge what you're worth." (I've done it, too!) But you are a human being. Your worth is invaluable. One thing Tiffany says is rarely discussed in the workplace is compassion. Understanding one's own experience with self-worth is an advantage. Feelings of being an imposter, insecure, self-doubt, or fear are nuanced for each individual. She found that people who feel imposter syndrome or doubt themselves can transform their behavior by working on their belief systems and mindsets. This goes back to how they view themselves—their worth and value. The world is constantly evolving, and that's where compassion comes back into play. Let's pop in those earphones 🎧. Learn to stop beating ourselves up. Become compassionate. Because when we're compassionate with ourselves and other people, it births curiosity rather than judgment or pressure. One of the best pieces of advice I ever heard on my podcast was this👇 And it's not what you think... When Valerie Young, co-founder of Impostor Syndrome Institute and best-selling author of "The Secret Thoughts of Successful Women"*, appeared on my podcast, 'The Unconventionalists,' she shared a golden piece of wisdom that has stayed with me ever since. She told me that through her years of research and work, she realised that contrary to popular belief, 'feelings are the last thing to change.' Meaning instead of waiting to feel a certain way in order to feel ready to take action, what she says we need to do is actually the opposite 🤯 Start doing something now, regardless of how you feel, and at some point down the line, you will feel different. But if you wait for the feeling to come, chances are, it never will. In this 35second clip, I share a little bit more about this concept and dive deeper into what I believe separates the amateurs from the professionals when it comes down to sharing your personal story to transform your business and change your life. Let me know if it makes sense ? PS: *Fun fact: go check out the new book cover of Valerie's "The Secret Thoughts of Successful Women: And Men" and see if you notice anything 'special' on the cover...If you see it, let me know below 🤫 -- ♻️ Repost if you found this helpful 🙏 👋 Hi, I'm Mark! I help leaders and teams craft stories that positively impact and change the world. Follow me if you want to connect with anyone. #leadership #storytelling #impostorsyndrome #impact
