With the talk of change fatigue, people are looking for answers. Coaching can help provide clarity on how an individual can best navigate that change that aligns with the individual’s values. This part of the article was particularly insightful:
“Research from HCI and ICF has shown that the success of change efforts relies on three indicators: leadership, communication, and employee resilience. When these factors are managed well, the change efforts succeed; when done poorly, they are doomed to fail. When we lead change for ourselves, we are the leadership, and how we speak to ourselves about how we are handling that change is communication. Our foundation and resilience, combined with this leadership and communication, determine whether we bend or break in the face of adversity.” Read the full article below.

I've read an article on few ways that, as a coach, I can help clients navigate polarization like thoughtful responses and building resilience. As a cross-cultural coach living in Scotland but born in Brazil, I've seen firsthand how polarization can affect individuals and communities. In today's world, where divisions seem to be growing, it's crucial for coaches to equip their clients with tools to bridge gaps and create understanding.
One key approach is helping clients develop thoughtful responses. This involves encouraging them to pause, reflect, and consider multiple perspectives before reacting to polarizing situations. Another vital aspect is building resilience, enabling clients to maintain their emotional well-being amidst challenging conversations and conflicting viewpoints.
I believe these skills align beautifully with principles of love, patience, and understanding. They also resonate with community work engagements.
