💡 A great idea and strong IP will only get you so far - at some point it comes down to execution ________________________________________________________________ 🌍 For today's Earth Month portfolio company highlight, we're talking about Change Foods, which focuses on creating real dairy and cheese without the cow using precision fermentation Compared to conventional dairy cheese, their approach uses: 🌊 10x less water ⛰ 100x less land ⚡ 5x less energy 🌽 25x less feedstock So better for the planet, people, and animals 💪 They're not the only ones out there using precision ferm for dairy production, but what stood out to us when Clear Current Capital started speaking with them in 2021 was that even at the earliest stages in their lifecycle, they were already planning for the future 🤝 Instead of simply calling out which hurdles to scale they may run into, they were already digging into potential solutions and building relationships with the partners that would help them overcome those hurdles From improving titers to finding ways to lower CAPEX hurdles for growth, when I think of Change Foods, I think of a constant eye on execution, because they know if they want to generate maximum impact, an idea, alone, is not enough We feel fortunate to be able to support them on this journey, and we're excited for the future they're helping to build!
